Evans is everything people say McLean is. All legs and no talent. I lost count of the amount of times he lost possession at Blackburn. Cairney gives us quality on the ball and even if it isn't constant forward through balls his general passing in midfield is a far better quality and we'd keep the ball much better than we do with Evans in there. Also Evans is a serial chance misser, he doesn't get them as often as the strikers do obviously but when he does he always misses, and sometimes from ridiculous distances.
Cairney isn't brave enough on the ball and is a liability defesively, more of his passes would go astray if he didn't always take the safe option. Our attacking is slow enough when he's not in the team to allow teams to maintain their shape, he makes the problem worse. Each of our last three managers have seen more in Evans than Cairney, including Bar by who is a fan of Cairney.
Aluko should be left on the wing, admittedly not there nor on wednesday, but judging by what SSN and Burnsy & co have had to say, he's more ****ing wasteful in front of goal than Manucho.
Can't seem to get any radio link here - I have to resort to ESPN.com gamecast. Unfortunately it has no aptmosphere. Just some clown giving a comment every two or three minutes, partially in Span-glish!
Thanks Robo, I tried that one too. It seems I am unable to get an English football games live on the radio. Not sure if it's a licensing thing or the work computer security. I get other BBC radio though.
This is the Spanglish commentary I get - guess he thinks he's clever! "Abdoulaye Faye (Hull City) hits a cabeza shot from the centre penalty area but it goes off target: Normal"
Anybody using the BBC text commentary? It's all over the place - keeps going back to 4 minutes/50%-50%/etc!!!! Rubbish.....thank **** for Hull Matchdays!
Tried the Radio Humberside - "Due to Contractual reasons, blah blah blah" - would it kill them to let the signal come ot the US? Don't think there's too much competition here for broadcast rights of Hull City!!
Glad to see our defense is once again strong. However, how long before we figure out that scoring goals is an essential part of winning games?
www.hullcitylive.co.uk works world wide, it's a guy who streams bbc radio humberside via justintv. Look on the left hand of page go on audio stream then justintv, I'm listening using that now from Leicestershire (outside of humbersides legal online broadcast area for football).
It must be the work computer then - such is life. I shall have to be tormented by some half-wit who thinks one word in a sentence makes him bi-lingual! At least I get some updates though - better tha nit used to be 10 years ago!
Yes thats what I'm using but getting Radio Humbersides commentary has been a problem today. It came on eventually but is about 10 minutes behind real time. I'm listening to Charltons live coverage. They think City are doing well.
Could we not just have one of Blackpool's goals from today - they're running up a rugby score ... they won't miss just one!
