Personally think the Sunderland management have paid off the officials to do this so Adam Johnson doesn't miss any games Seriously though, what a relief for MONsMush that he didn't buy those 800 quid plane tickets!!

Valid point made by Gary Lineker on the BBC site, couldn't the match be delayed a couple of hours to see if the rain abaited, people are twittering that the rain has stopped and there is blue skys over Sunderland at the moment, has it it called off in haste. Suppose we will never know.
