A US court has ordered Samsung to pay Apple $1.05bn (£665m) in damages for infringing intellectual property.

The jury decided several Samsung devices had infringed iPhone-maker Apple's software and design patents, but rejected counter-claims by Samsung.

Apple will now seek import bans on several of its rival's products. Samsung has said it will appeal.

I've got the IPhone 4s just now. I won't get another IPhone after this contract runs out. I really don't rate it at all.

Just you get back on the WWE board. I asked a question and it's yet to be answered.

It was about Del Rio's foot on the rope when Sheamus won. Was I the only one that saw it?

If a US court has judged that Samsung broke the rules then I would imagine US would have a very good case in front of the WTO. Whether they really want to start a trasde war with korea is of course another issue!

You'd have to think that samsung could go bust after this though - personally I'd prefer to see a massive backlash against Apple but that's because i'm a miserable old Luddite who can never wiork out how to use any products with an i at the start of them <steam>

A trade war with Korea, would cause all sorts of problems for both countries. I would imagine the US import a **** load of Hyundai, Kia, LG etc, so not sure where they would get the rest from and for Korea they would be ****ed as who is going to make up for the loss of the American market. If I was a betting man, a deal will be made at Samsung's appeal.

American court backs American company? I'm shocked.

I wonder which companies will be looking to sue Apple in response to this?
