Money well spent I say. Pay the good money to good players, instead of wasting it on 2 or 3 make weights.
Big money on a big player, but other player's agents will use this as a bargaining tool when wanting more from renewed contracts I'd imagine... Out of curiosity, what was Gyan on?
City will just keep shooting themselves in the foot... They have to know 99% of the teams cant afford what they are paying their players, so each year when they change out their squad, they wont be able to shift the old stock on. So they will have to subsidize wages, let players go for nowt (Adebayor to Spurs), or pay off the players with the difference till the end of their contract.., so AJ must have gotten a MASSIVE pay off...
I can 100% confirm johnson's basic wage isn't anywhere near 84k. I don't know about bonuses though but I'd be surprised if it wasn't around 80k in total.
Fair enough . My source ain't the best (my bro ) . It would be interesting to know what wage he is on . Could make some bigger signings with a bigger wage bracket .
I don't know about citeh's part of the deal but I guarantee his basic off Sunderland is no where near £80k. Still appears to break our normal wage cap but don't think it'll be by much.
My son has just returned from work. His mate with the ITK friend. (Which stopped him pestering me every five minutes yesterday afternoon, as they were certain the deal was done.) Reckons the deal is, he has his basic salary and specific targets to increase it. So it will be performance based, points earned, final league standing etc.
