Looking for Toon Fans In Manchester

hi everyone,

my question two fold,

firstly, are any of you living in Manchester or nearby ?

secondly, does anyone know of a toon friendly bar in Manchester where people who support Newcastle gather to watch games when they are on.

maybe there's a poster on here who lives in Manchester and knows where to go, then we could have a pint on match day

I moved here four months ago and now the new season is starting it would be good to get out and see some games in the pub with other toon fans

 

ps - this isn't for today's game :-( I am otherwise engaged

 

I'm sure Acid Hippo and another couple on toonforum are from Manchester. They don't post on here much nowadays.

Not sure how many toon fans go in but try The Footage on Oxford Road, always showing football in there and it's mostly packed full of decent lads who cause nobody any harm. Divs hang around Hogshead on Deansgate so avoid that one! Can't say I've seen any groups of Toon fans other than when you're in town for a match, although I have a mate who supports Newcastle who always goes out to watch matches, I assume he's not drinking alone, that would make me a bad mate!

AH didn't come from Manchester, he was just at Uni there, he's a Lincoln yellow belly.
