An indirect connection - a tenuous, petty connection that even a cynic like myself would reject. No need for Brendan to deny anything - LFC haven't done anything, and even if we had have it wouldn't have been our manager, as I said. I don't understand you, do you think swearing and abuse make your points valid? Or even, say, vaguely interesting? Every decent debate I have on this board you seem to wade in upon and derail. Sad. EDIT: Also, this may interest you (in all its apparent irony): pet·u·lant/ˈpeCHələnt/ Adjective: (of a person or their manner) Childishly sulky or bad-tempered. Take and apply to self
Regardless of how tenuous this link is, it's a link that was made by the media (who despite what LFC fans think, don't have an agenda against them). When the website of the company owning Liverpool put something like that up, most people put two and two together. I accept Liverpool probably thought they had the signing in the bag and had something ready to go that an intern accidentally put on the site before it should have been. But surely you can see how much that is going to annoy Fulham, I'd be pretty peeved if I was them.
Will be interesting to see what the FA make of all this, but personally I couldn't give a monkeys, Rodgers is history, lets just enjoy taking 6 points of the has beens, this season!.................
Pretty much every paper around had a story about Dempsey. We've signed him about 500 times already based of caughtoffside! The crux of the matter is that every journalist probably has several template stories waiting to be uploaded. A human error occurred. Everything else is conspiracy theory stuff or wishful thinking. It's also more of a site that FSG own than a site just about them - FSG members include non sports related groups like hedge funds and so on. But I'm no expert, frankly don't give a damn who they are as long as they do us good. Most aren't even remotely involved with LFC. To be honest I think you'll beat us in Wales because you'll be far more motivated than we'll be. But I'd love to rub it in your face given the amount you've said that!
So you won't be "motivated" enough to want to pick up three points on your trip to Swansea? I sincerely hope that my team is "motivated" EVERY game it plays.
If you can't pass the ball 5 yards then I'm not surprised. You needed an own-goal against Hearts, what ****ing good are you. We really expect more from our reserves.
Good God, I wish I hadn't left this one as the last thread to check upon. Gentlemen, I would say that REV is ploughing a lone farrow here but all he's doing is defending his team and I wouldn't expect any less. Just a reminder that he is a welcome guest and that this is the SWANSEA CITY board not the LEGOLAND one so let's all behave accordingly, remember we are all a class ( and a league) above the neighbours and we don't want any visitors to our board to think otherwise.
Haha we needed a linesman that knows the rules, Borini might have scored... Or hit the post at least twice! All I'm doing is giving the reality of the situation re Dempsey. It's clear most people just want a stick to beat Rodgers with.
NI: "Our problem seems to be self belief right now." My god man, if you can't have self belief when you've signed the Messiah when can you???!!!
REV, given half a chance if I had a stick I'd probably beat Rodgers with it too No offence but I watched the game last night and it wasn't the best, you know yourself you cant play like that in the league you'd get mullered week in week out.
Watched a bit of the Liverpool game also , wish we could scam Agger from Liverpool . An attacking defender with a nose for when to attack , the best is yet to come from him IMO
Well, our last manager was a resurrected king and he didn't do too well... And don't start me on Roy! More life in a morgue than in his Liverpool team. Yeh it certainly wasn't the best, got to give Hearts huge credit - they clearly didn't want a repeat of the Spurs game from last season. Spearing is probably leaving, Adam we all hope is leaving... those two alone really bugger up the passing style. Saying that we didn't have Suarez, Gerrard, Skrtel, Johnson, Enrique, Lucas, Carroll or Assaidi on the pitch... and Allen only got a few minutes (did well though). Sterling had a good game (he's 17) and young Robinson looked solid. Shelvey was disappointing though, only seemed to wake up in the second half, but he was unlucky that the good passes he did play (to Borini) were incorrectly flagged offside. We definitely need some more firepower!
Dilli take this as it's intended. I agree with you, however it behooves visitors to act the same way. This visitor however is condescending toward our team, has tried to tell us that their cast offs would be good for us , a point ML put straight to bed . He doesn't seem to understand english or grasp the basic FACTS of this thread. To whit. Martin Jol has complained about ROGERS tapping up one of Fulhams players. At the same time a website owned by the second team on merseysides owners, published that they had signed Dempsey from Fulham, which they blatantly had not. It matters not one jot who published it, what the companies finances are, their balance sheet or what business they do and with whom. It appeared and is a matter of record. But this visitor doesn't want to recognise these facts. When challenged he does what he always does on other forums, and ignores the points trying to ingratiate himself by blowing smoke up other posters arses, and is playing well meaning guys like yourself. A question I have is why is he arguing the toss on here? So Dilli roll out the welcome mat by all means, but I for one won't take any crap off this twat and will continue to give it to him straight.
FFS, just like you I would welcome all reasonable visitors to our board. I think that you and Rev are both good posters who are passionate about their teams. Rev is defending his team, something I applaud however that doesn't mean I'm in agreement with him. I actually saw with my own eyes an interview Rodgers did on TV admitting he wanted Dempsey in his team. It's something Harry Redknapp has done a lot of too and in my opinion it is a case of tapping players up. The bottom line is that it's not the fans fault this has happened it the owners. Perhaps this is the way Yanks conduct business and why Fulham have reported them to the Premier League. I actually feel a genuine sympathy to the Liverpool fans when I see how low they have stooped. This is a club that has a massive history and I can't help but wonder what Shankley and Paisley would make of all this. Believe me mate the vast majority of Liverpool fans do not like what the Yanks and Rodgers are playing at. As for Rev, well please mate don't resort to name calling, it doesn't make pleasant reading and I don't see him being abusive to you, I know that you are better than that. Ps, you are in no danger of being banned due to your undying love of all things Gower.
Careful there, I heard he nodded his head in a very suspicious way at one point. FA should be looking into THAT!
