Dont rule this one out matey.

    You heard it here first!!!!

Killa and Titus dont have a long term future here imo and both could be used as fundraisers for a Dawson deal. I've heard this one isnt a million miles away from the truth but isnt an immediate target.

If Defoe comes Dawson might be a good sweetener to help him bed in.

Dawson is another step up, if fit.

Could be yet more excellent business

Dawson is class, and would again take us up a notch, he is also in the right mould for MON quality player with the right attitude and commitment. I'm already pinching myself on the strength of today's dealings I daren't hope for more

just hearing from some mush on twitter who everyone is congratulating about letting them know info on the Johnson deal that we have bid 8m for Dempsey

IF its true then surely thats Sessegnon away?

Would be very surprised if true

we are after Strinic and he is apparently going to cost 5-6m, MoN has mentioned a RB, then there is Dawson who is valued at 10m!!!

then ther is 8m for Dempsey, surely we will have to make the money for some of the incomings anyway and the only valuable asset we have is Sessegnon

    Rather keep Sess 2bh

    Not if he goes 4-4-2.

    -------------Fletcher----------------------

    --------------Catts/Colback-------------------

Dempsey to push on and support Fletcher when attacking

Why would we have to lose Sess?
We can have two forwards on and Sess in the hole behind them.

even though it looks good it wouldn't be balanced at all, Catts/Colback would have to do the job of 2-3players, would Sess track back or want to track back and help Catts out with there other CM, I doubt it

I really rate Dempsey but if Sess does stay I would rather the club put the 8m towards a top quality, class central midfielder who can pick the ball up and have an eye for a pass rather than Dempsey who would unbalance us

Only way I could see it working would be to drop McClean to the bench and have either Sess or Dempsey playing in a wider role, would be good competition for places

If it were up to me he'd be in our first choice pairing and captain but if he's not in our plans I'd rather he was sold than an under used squad player.

Dawson's quality, you'd do well to sign him. Dempsey too, I'm surprised we weren't interested, although £8mill seems a bit high for someone that's unsettled and in the last year of his contract. What happened to the Jenas rumours? That got my hopes up for a little while.

I would agree with Poolie here. A bit too forward thinking this set-up to be balanced. Last 10 or 15 yes, but not a whole match.

I'm not sure Dempsey will join. Does he really offer something different we don't already have?

Signing Jenas would neutralise the AJ & Fletch deals.

    He's pipe.

hahaha on the Jenas crack, **** that had me worried for awhile.

Why is Dawson being allowed to leave?
I thought he was one of your best defenders.

Why are we not allowed to have an attacking formation, there will be defenders behind them you know. :p

McClean been doing Riccos job for him for ages if we have a proper LB no worries.

If it is on the cards maybe ES can talk to Dempsey in American.

I thought so too. Dawson and Gallas both have the problem of being a bit slower and injury prone so perhaps AVB felt one of them would be expendable this season. They both did well in preseason so maybe the money we'd get from selling Dawson was the clincher. Kaboul, Vertonghen and Caulker will be our future under AVB it seems.

Caulker looks a cracking prospect mind.
