10 x better ! i think the sour grapes and envy is coming out, and Mcclean plays on the left and he will not be dropped for anybody, Johnson will have to play on the right and with Sess and Larrson helping out !, things are superb at the moment for us !.

Agreed. I think he's better than Johnson but certainly not 10x.

HBA has more to his game imo. He's got Johnsons best attributes, shooting and pace, but his dribbling is unmatched by anyone else in the league. That's what sets HBA apart from him.

Johnson is a very good signing and in current terms, £15m is a realistic price for an England international.

He's wasted on City's bench, but if he gets regular games at a club like Sunderland, he'll be awesome.

I'd happily have him here as he can play on either flank. Cracking signing for the Mackems if he goes.

You've got to laugh at how small time certain Sunderland supporters are on this forum.

Their first thought when their club has had one of its most exciting transfer days in its history is to see how angry their rivals are over it <laugh>

Wonder if he took a wage cut to go there? He'll have been on a packet at City, so it wouldn't be good for the dressing room if he was earning twice as much as anyone else. Fair play if he did though.

Cracking sign for them, surprised he didn't go to Tottenham and Liverpool if they were interested.

To be honest, we did take the mick about them paying for Cisse's flight, lol.

But I'd hoped we'd be smarter than them, and not posted much on it. But this idiot decides to post a thread on it!

Ok, perhaps It was a bit harsh, but all making a thread like this will do is give them an erection. 95% of the mackems have been going on about us being jealous and how they've some how done us over.

Making articles like this just makes the taste sweeter for them.

We were talking about Johnson earlier on, this just makes it look like we give a **** about who they sign. We should just take the stance, and ignore them completely, instead of making it look like we care about them, half as much as they obsess about us.

I honestly think we don't "need" Johnson, but I'm gutted he's signed for them. He's a hell of a player.

Saying that, there's not many players who go there and enhance their persona. Phillips was one, can't recall many others. I hope he falls into that category though........ I'd like to say good luck to them, but I can't. Does that make me a bad person?

Credit were its due that's a decent signing for them, gd for the north east to have another top talent fletcher was over priced and is a relagation fodder. I don't think the price is over priced for aj if you look at joe Allen,Henderson,Jarvis, fletcher etc . Still you can't be a one man team but fair play to them

To be fair you have some cracking players like Taylor, Ba, Obertan etc, Johnson is an England international and we needed someone like him for crosses and £32 m for Hazard Chelsea paid, had you heard of him before ?. Lets hope we are both going for the top 6 as we have unfinished business from 2001. And i would like Fetcher to get 15 goals this season as our top scorer last season only scored 8 !.

To be fair monty you point out Hazard, he is quality and it's worth remembering that there seems to be a lot of clubs like Chelsea who seem to pay over the odds a lot of the time.

    "Cracking players!" - Obertan! <laugh> Obertan! <laugh><laugh><laugh> Ober****ingtan <laugh><rofl><wah><laugh><rofl><laugh>

    QUALITY!

I do genuinely think Johnson is a good buy for you boys. With regular games, he'll be a great player. Just a pity he's spent so long in the shadows at City when he could have been gaining experience elsewhere.

You're just praising Obertan because his name sounds similar to ObiWan.
