So he has finally signed for Palace. Anyone know the fee? As usual City have declared it un-disclosed, just hope there is a sell on clause.
I don't think he was here for long enough to really show his worth. He had some poor games and recently has played quite well for us. If we got a decent price for him then I think it'll have been worth it. I hope he succeeds at Palace because he seems like a decent player, and I can't fault him for putting in a transfer request so he can move back to London.
No real feelings about this one, good luck to Yannick Bolasie and a nice profit for the club......Up the City..
Last season he had games where he looked like he could be a genuine replacement for Adomah; that said there were no real barnstormers. Good luck to him. Hope the move is beneficial to both him and Palace.
It was stated by both Steve Lansdown & Colin Sexstone that sell on clauses would be used for all players who left City for a fee and I am sure that this will be the case here. At his age he needs to be getting regular first team starts and so we should have no qualms about this. We paid next to nothing for him, he scored the crucial goal against Cov and we will be making a decent profit (for a change).
Don't know if it was del who said it but didn't we value him at 700,000? Be nice if we got that as it would balance the books for the Davies transfer
This is good business all round. We paid around £20K for him and have received around £300k plus sell-on clauses so financially this is a no brainer. I don't think he was a bad player and do not wish any ill to him, I just think he had his head turned by his agent and obviously wasn't giving 100% which is an absolute demand of Del. Good luck Yannick.
He was a little too raw for me, his tackling was an accident waiting to happen half the time. But hey, I wish him well and if he does move on to better things eventually we will get a payout....
I never saw him play but I got the impression that he was the type of player that always believed that he was better than in reality. The leagues are littered with players who always think that they will do better at another club, when in fact if they produced what was expected of them then their lot in life might be subsantially better where they are. Good luck to the lad and in a short time we will forget that he was ever at Ashton Gate.
Only 2 things wrong with bolasie 1. He tried to hard with his skills and often messed them up which sometimes led to him putting in a few bad tackles 2. Not consistent enough, often drifted out of the game But there was no doubt about it he had potential, shame we couldn't keep him and got the best out of him
Like most have stated, he has got potential but is risky when the chips are down. Lost his head against Leeds big time, and as Banksy said his tackling was a worry. He probably knew he would not be a regular in the first team so wanted to get that else where. Hopefully we got a good package on the sale. Good luck to him, just not against us
