To be fair, City didn't look all that great vs Liverpool, but I doubt he'd predict us to get a result vs them at home.
I love the fact that he seems to have forgotton we beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last season. I know they have Hazard and Oscar now, but to have a selected memory and not even give us a chance is just so typical of Lawro.
I hate the bloke but has anyone read it? He thinks Chelsea have got better momentum (which they have) and that we'll still be challenging for a CL spot what ever happens. Think he's actually being slightly complimentary about us!
I was impressed by Oscar when he played in the Olympics and Hazard has settled in very quickly. I would be happy with a draw.
Have to agree with LE that a draw this time round would be a good result. City will beat the Dippers IMO. It is true that Lawro was indeed complimentary about us and predicted a CL place finish for us. Have to say l don't like it when he starts being nice, gives me the willys. HTL
Didn't I read somewhere that he only predicted Liverpool to lose once last season, and that was away to Man City? How does the biased twat get away with it?
I think the game at Chelsea... Colo would come in, and we'll realise how much better we play with him, especially in possession and playing our way out of danger.. Hopefully Papiss is fit for at least an hour, and after that hopefully Shola recovers from his injury to sub on.
"Newcastle got over the line last week against Tottenham, winning a game they might have lost 18 months ago." how far back does the twat want to go
Yeah but we finished 6th in his table. Most games he put us down for draws. He predicted Man Utd not to lose a game all season either.
I can't stand Lawro, but in this instance, I don't think his predictions are that poor. If I was a neutral not wearing black and white tinted specs, I'd probably have us down for a narrow defeat away to Chelsea. While Liverpool (at home) to City could well be a draw. We shall see.
Will probably use it every season from now until eternity: 'Newcastle got over the line last week against FILL IN TEAM NAME HERE, winning a game they might have lost ENTER TIME PERIOD HERE ago'
Not related all that much, but according to betfair newcastle fans are the most likely to bet 'emotionally' for their own team: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-19367264
