Did we hit it twice? Suarez and Gerrard? I know Gerrard did because I watched part of the 2nd half yesterday when I flicked over to LFC TV.
Was it 46? I thought it was about 36? Whatever, it was all Kenny's fault for telling them to hit all the chances against the woodwork, a mistake Brendan Rodgers will not make, but we must have patience with the woodwork this season. Knocking it about at the back is designed to keep the ball away from the woodwork and frustrate it. It'll be the worst 90 minutes of wood's life. As I've said previously, take the average number of woodwork hits per PL season, adjust our results accordingly and it's clear that the law of averages got Kenny the sack. It beats the bejebus out of me that Moneyball muppets couldn't "do the math" involved. It's not rocket science.
Agreed, he should have just suited up, gone on, poked the ball in for a few game winners and he would still be in the job.
Am just in from work. I think Suarez was at it again last night wasn't he? Can anyone tell me which post?
Jeez, first time I have seen that youtube clip. Whilst there are some terrible misses, what struck me the most is just how unlucky we were on where the ball went after hitting the post! So many of them went away from a following up Liverpool player, its incredible. Already felt that Dalglish was hard done by but this clip just highlights it further. I must admit though whilst watching this my thoughts were I wonder if a manager with perhaps a more modern psychological leaning may have been able to arrest the trend? Of course this is a massive assumption of what Kenny did last season; it seemed to me that Kenny had the belief that we just keep doing the same things and our luck will change(and I think this was a logical call to make, I think we all felt the same), unfortunately you could also see clearly that this trend was affecting the players. Its all irrelevant now though, Kenny was so unlucky and unfortunately was the victim of how small the margins of success and failure can be!
It's a trend that we had last season and even though we've already had a few hope we can at least half that tally this season
Didn't Suarez hit the post twice last night...? It would be easier if each incident was listed so we know whats been included already
