I backed it e/w at 13/2 with PP earlier this afternoon...4's now.

Good to see Ffos Las with a mixed card tomorrow.Hopefully a sign of things to come.

Edit that, just checked and only got 13/2 even though they advertised 8's on the RP betting box. They're never long on price, only money back nonsense.

3.05: Fury 9/1 - Cheek Pieces tried, Hughes on board, hopefully will see him go well, tough race to pick though could make a case for all of them.

Hi RV - for me Sole Power to finally get a win in the Nunthorpe and I like a LOT, PURE EXCELLENCE in the 16-50 at York. Took 7's with Victor but not seen it higher anywhere else.
    Good luck all <ok>

    Morning folks, nice one RV.

Got a fancy for Angels Will Fall today. Hadn't seen that Goodwood race owing to commitments but saw it this morning and I think it was a craching run from the Hills filly. First time in a group sprint, wrong side of the track, veered across, still only two odd lengths behind ortensia (who i prefer of the faves), surely improvement to come from this three year old and with the recent results in this race I'll take her at 33-1.

Good luck all. have a friday badger <badger>

Nice one Reebok. I fancy Sole Power to go close again - remember when he won it at 100/1 - no fluke as he has proved himself to be a top sprinter. Bated Breath is my idea of the winner but a little bit worried about the ground.

Fancy Martin Chuzzlewhit strongly in the opener at around 12/1. Have already backed THE TAJ in the last but may save it with Pure Excellence <cheers> pal

Chesney good luck with that one <ok> I agree she ran a belter last time out. Very impressed by the way she traveled throughout the race.

More rain at York this morning, could be more before the Nunthorpe, bad news for Bated Breath, Sole Power and Ortensia, Bated Breath or Ortensia could get away with it but I cant be having Sole Power now.

Morning RV... Yeah its 4-5am finishes for me this weekend... but im off in a couple of weekends soon so i can handle it...

Ive read some of your posts... Seemed like you had a scream at York... CC's story is funny... Sounds like a bloke who comes into our club... His name is Mike but we call him Mickipedia as he is the fountain of all knowledge... Not necessarily coming up with the correct information...!!!<laugh><laugh>

Just read the news on ATR about Newfangled...

Vets are continuing to investigate the full extent of Newfangled's injuries after she broke down badly in Thursday's Lowther Stakes at York.

John Gosden's filly was a brilliant winner of the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot and was expected to strengthen her position as ante-post favourite for next year's 1000 Guineas with another victory on the Knavesmire.

However, William Buick pulled up his mount after a couple of furlongs after she suffered a serious pelvis injury.

John Ferguson, racing advisor for Newfangled's owner Princess Haya of Jordan, said on Friday morning: "The vets are still investigating at this stage.

"We know she has got a serious pelvis injury.

"She has made it through the night but obviously it is a dangerous time at the moment.

"Fingers crossed she'll be all right."

Im no doctor but im reading into this that she may pull through this injury. Maybe not to racing fit, but that would be better for all concerned... Here's hoping...

Just looked at the BBC radar map and it looks like a quick pass over of the rain... rain might not help Sole Power, but it deffo wont help Bated Breath either...

Speaking of York pubs, The Knavesmire, £4.20 for a pint the barman seemed embarrassed charging that much

But what a day, Frankel was unbelievable
