Given the fact he played 70-75 mins tonight, I'm not so sure he'll start. I can see Pardew playing the 4-2-3-1 system but with Ba as the main striker and someone else coming in to play on the left hand side.

It's been well documented that Ba, Cisse & Cheick have participated in Ramadam (spelling) and considering that only ended recently I'm not so sure Cisse's current energy levels/fitness will enable him to start against Chelsea. I can see him coming off the bench around the 60-65 minute mark (please God let this be to net a late winner)!

I think It would be wise to just be happy with a win vs Spurs, and setting ourselves comfortably vs Atromitos, and play more solid.

I think we should go for -

    -------Ba---------

    ------Ben Arfa----

    Jonas-Tiote-Cabaye-Raylor

    Santon-Colo-Saylor--Simpson

    ----------Krul-------------

I think we should just try and play patient football, and keep it simple, and don't let Chelsea have their space..

Reading and Wigan both attacked Chelsea. Wigan conceded the 2 goals during a counter attack when exposed, and a pen. Reading were done by a pen, goal keeping error and a few other things, which I expect us to be able to cut out.

I think we can achieve a good 0-0 or 1-1 draw, through playing solid, defensive, and hoping that Ben Arfa and Ba can come up with something, with a bit of help from our wings and Cabaye.

I think we should just leave Simpson back, whenever Santon goes forward, Jonas and another player covers, and just try a patient play, don't commit men forward, and cut them out.

Like Everton did to Man utd.

Chelsea look great going forward but suspect at the back We should play to our strengths and look to get at them. As the old saying goes "the best form of defence is to attack".

Yeah, but Chelsea have benefited from Reading and Wigan attacking them. Chelsea's only two goals against Wigan came from Wigan committing too many men, and giving away a pen.

Reading just kept on pushing their luck, and got outdone.

I think we should attack when it's right, but we should plat 4-4-1-1, and be patient. Pass it around, don't be silly on the ball.

We can get a result if we stay solid. Chelsea look good, but we've to see them do it against a team that isn't just attack, attack, attack.

I heard Cheick had a little knock but was being rested tonight to be fit for Chelsea in 48 hours. Same with Colo and Ba.

    4-2-3-1 for me

    ------ Krul

    Simpson Saylor Colo Santon

    ----Tiote ---- Jonas (perch)

HBA Cabs Marv (Jonas with Perch deep if Marv too knacked)

    ----- Ba

Good mix of Defence and Attack, as Chelsea arent lookin to fab at the back atm, and Tiote can introduce Hazard officially to the PL

    how is Ivanovic not banned?
I'm sure he has to serve a 3 match ban for that red card in the community shield?

    Bit off topic i know.

I think we could get a draw and maybe snatch it with a bit of Cisse magic. :p

<laugh> Me too, that's why I didn't put Ivaniovic in my dream team - then the bugger goes and scores 2 in 2 games!

I'd like to see Cisse playing on Saturday. He's our most lethal striker and we might not get many chances away to Chelsea. We need someone who can make something from nothing and take any opportunities we do create. IF Colo + Tiote are both fit I'd like to see:

    --------- Krul

    Simmo Saylor Colo Santon

    ----Tiote ---- Anita

    HBA ---Cabaye ---Jonas

    -------- Cisse

Cisse didn't exactly exert himself though did he. Wouldn't be surprised if he started on Saturday

Pardew likes his system of playing a lone striker, I think rotating Ba & Cisse will work well considering the amount of fixtures we could end up with this season.

Our manager took quite a calculated gamble tonight with that team - if we'd lost there would have been an inquiry! The away goal makes it ok though. <ok>

Cisse made somethng from nothing last season at SB. I was in the front row and got burried under an avalache of bodies when he came up the fans to celebrate his goal.

    --Jonas--Tiote--Anita---

    Santon--Colo-Saylor--Simpson

    -----------Krul----------

just like half our team was injured before Tottenham <whsitle>

    Krul
    Simpson - Saylor - Colo - Santon
    Tiote - Jonas
    HBA - Cabaye - Fergie
    Ba

for me, that's how we should line up. Steering clear of people who got game time today (except Jonas, but he's got the ultimate engine, and only played ~30min). This is presuming that Fergie isnt injured (as per), alternatives for the left; Marv, Ammy, Sammy (if fit), Vuckic.
I see a few people putting in Anita, but he played the full 90 tonight, he probably wont be rested enough to start
