Good luck Robbie, get some game time and come back and kick on. Is this a good move for him/us with the likes of Green out after being on the wing (and not a recognised winger) Surely Warnock doesnt think the lad is good enough. Now I hope after a run of games we will see if the lad is good enough, first impressions is he isnt but come on, we havent seen him! http://www.leedsunited.com/news/20120823/rogers-joins-league-one-side-on-loan_2247585_2898085
Why, Gray, Poleon and Diouff are well ahead of Rogers and even Somma is more likely to come on than Rodgers is, even with one leg.
Some of Warnocks decisions leave me scratching my head. While I did not think Rogers would be good enough I didn't for a moment assume Green was going to be our winger - I assumed Green was going to fight it out with Norris, Brown and Austin for a place in the middle. At the same time I thought after his decent spell out on loan we might have kept Lloyd Sam but we never. We are screaming out for a natural wide player with some pace, I was baffled when Pugh was taken off the transfer list because of Greens injury, would it not have made more sense to remove Rogers from the list??? I wanted Warnock to be our manager, I excused his crap start and 7-3 thrashing as they were not his players. I was delighted with our win against Wolves and dismayed at the poor show and strange decisions against Blackpool. In Warnock I trust for now but it isn't going to be long before I snap.
Ristac mate, couldn't agree more. I hope Robbie does well though and comes back a better player and not another Grella. I think Monster is right though his wages are gonna get us a loanee, probably Maynard.
Rogers on loan is a smart move, he is joining a progressive club that likes to win so that will help his confidence. Finally he should get game time in English conditions, and hopefully he comes back fitter and stronger, ready to help us push on. Either way, we will soon find out what he's made of, but the fact that he's played internationals for USA means he should be okay and become an asset on his return. Fingers crossed.
