If we don't need the cash to get Hernandez, which is the priority for me, then great to have him coming off the bench or competing to keep Dyer, Routledge, and Hernandez driving to their best. With these four, we would have a very potent compliment to our lone striker and central midfield unit, perhaps the most dynamic four in the league. Best of all they are not one wing wonders, they can all play off either wing, or come inside up the center - great flexibility. Plus with ML imparting wisdom there's no knowing how he might improve. If he stays, then we need to talk sense into him and get him on a one year extension at a minimum.
Maybe his decision not to sign a new contract was either with the intention of holding out for a better one, or to make him available for rogers to make an offer. Neither have been forthcoming, and he knows deep down he won't start at man city so second thoughts could be feasible
So gents have Swansea given Man City a reply yet over the transfer of Scott ??? Or are they waiting to see if Liverpool are willing to come in with an outlandish over the top offer for him..
Its an odd position for us to be in because I believe either way we win. If he goes, great, we can use the money to get another player who will be at least as good as he. Sinclair has been great for us but he is not irreplaceable. If he stays, great, we have a young British talent with enormous potential. We know his capabilities and he knows and suits our style. I keep changing my mind about all this. One minute I feel he's messing us around and I want him away, the next I feel sorry for him and think he's being ill advised by those around him. It may well be that Scott, being a young man, is being led on by those close but with ulterior motives. His agent's interest is purely financial (by the way does anyone know who his agent is?) and his WAG's home sick. Both have a reason to want him away and I can see both whispering in his ears and its this constant pincer attack that may have convinced him not to re-sign. Either way, I just want to know "will he stay or will he go".
good player, badly advised. same with the likes of routledge and bostock at palace, these players try to run before they can walk. his agent will be rubbing his hands with glee and get a nice little earner from a club with more money than sense. no-where near good enough for man city/
His agents are Stellar Football Limited. Swans players attached to them Sinclair, Dyer, Situ & Bartley. Interesting that Caulker and Siggy are represented by them as well. http://http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/stellar-football-ltd/details/berater_190.html
I think we need to sort these contract situstaions out quickly for our own ends. If for example, a player is down to say 18 months, he is then told he has 6 months to sign a new contract/extention. If with a year left, there is still no sign of a signature, then he hits the transfer market. Just my take on the situation, especially with the debacle that was DeVries/Pratley & now Sinclair. What to do if there`s no takers with this idea. I haven`t thought that through yet!
Swanee that is probably huw's take on it as well, Scott will be gone if he doesn't sign a new contract with us, we were told by huw that we won't be in a situation again where a player we want to keep leaves on a free
