Happy if this deal goes through, but I'd much rather be pursuing Hernandez first. It's obvious Scott is going, so we need cover as soon as possible.

Im still in 2 minds whether this would be a good signing or not for the money :/ I know competition is good for the team but who is likely to get dropped for him, Britton or De Guzman as they have both been quality in pre season and on Saturday...dont want to go pissing players off when they are playing well

Although De Guzman can play on the wing I just read on another thread so perhaps that is what may happen :)

I'm of the mind that were pressing our luck on the non injury scene . Law of average will catch up sooner or later & we best be ready . De Guzman will spend time out wide & Ki will play more in the middle role IMO , till further notice (injury ) . Michu , Britton , KI , Agustien & De Guzman is quite a good mid- mid field . Dyer , Routledge & Hernandez with De Guzman in reserve is good out wide .

De Guzman is quite injury prone so just in case. Augustien is not as tactically aware like some others (would not now this from his Dyer assist) So another midfield player wouldn't be a bad idea

We need a top LB for cover!

I've seen little evidence of Augustien not being tactically aware to be honest. Pass of the season a while back at Donny for Rangel to volley home and did it again Saturday. My main worry is that he's a tad injury prone.

Laudrup may also be planning on a 3-4-3 formation as could be a good plan B, ie at home when teams park the bus or if we are chasing a game etc

I spoke to someone who is VERY qualified and I brought up Kemmy and that is what he told me! When he explained it to me it did make sense!

Depends what you mean by tactically aware I suppose. He may have meant in other ways. To my mind he's shown real evidence of an eye for a pass but being tactically aware is probably much more than that I guess.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Laudrup dabble with Bartley learning Britton's task ... just a hunch .

Would love to see those two standing next to each other on the training pitch, Breezy. <laugh>

Can't speak for anyone else but if we get Ki sung-Yueng & Hernandez I'm going to be one happy camper . We have a pretty fair team without them but with them I think we'll worry a few teams before the whistle even blows .

Great player from what I've seen. We were after him at one point but it all went quiet. Something to do with needing new defenders...:emoticon-0114-dull:

On a side note - if you're interested in the tactics from our game, a very good article on how wrong we got it can be found here: http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/fb_news.php?storyid=17933
(A word of warning, it focuses on how wrong we got it, not how right you got it, which isn't to say you didn't get it right as you obviously did. If you follow me!)

Perhaps you got it wrong because we got it so right.

QPR: Did the Ki deal go quiet after Saturday? <laugh> Sorry. Couldn't resist. I saw quite a recent thread on your board wondering what was happening to the deal.

Yes he looks like a very classy player indeed. Think Hughes has recognised where the problem lies hence the defensive signings this week. Good luck for the rest of the season. <ok>

Ho ho knackeredjack. It went quiet before Saturday, but I'm sure Saturday made him feel happy about his decision!

Yankee - it takes two to tango as they say, for it to be 5-0 you had to turn up and we had to not. Had we both turned up I'm fairly sure it would have been slightly closer in performance and scoreline, even if you had still won say 2 or 3 nil. But I do not deny that you got it very right as you point out. That much is indisputable!

I loved the bit on the link where the blogger refers to the dilemma a team faces when it has to chase a deficit against Swansea City. "Zebras need water, but crocodiles live in the river". Classic!
