You just said above that Hughes may well be regretting signing Green already and looking to replace him. If that's the case then, far from giving him respect, Fernandes should be hopping mad with him!

And if you can't see that as a sign that the Manager is shi*ting himself then you're for the birds mate.

All very strange.Do we honestly believe that we are going to pay £9 million for any player, yet alone a defender.Any transfers we do that are of any consequence, they are always for an undisclosed fee.Carvalho on a season long loan i can believe,we won't be shelling out for a large fee just his wages(although i'm sure these are hefty enough).I just refuse to believe that we will be spending nigh on £10 million on a defender with a suspect injury past.I hope i am proved wrong but it just doesn't ring true to me!

How many Keepers do you want for fu*k's sake?!!! We've already got three with a reported fourth on his way in, yet we can only fit 25 in the squad.

I know business is down in the fast food industry mate but please try and hold your sh*t together.

Not sure about panicking but I think TF f***ed up by not pushing for this earlier and convincing himself (and us) that all the rebuilding was done after the Park signing, or whichever was the one before Hoilett. He specifically said this on qpr player. If only he listened to the fans!

Reckon he had a change of tack after Saturday. He would've had some serious explaining to do to his mates on the board. The loss was that f***ing embarrassing. Now every fan and his dog are taking pot shots at us for buying our way to safety and the pressure is even greater for us to do well. He may have the foresight to run an airline but football is very different.

Perhaps you would find it easier to give a more measured response if you read all the post and let it soak in, pen knife! Remember how woefully you failed to get a rise out of me last time, before embarking on another journey into my mind..........

Could be MH has sh*t himself a few times since Green joined us, he won't have been the only one! But panic no, just find another solid Keeper and get rid of Green.

Not just on this thread but probably on every other thread in the past few weeks fans talking about buying this or that player getting rid of certain players, which leads to paying off their contracts AND what never ceases to amaze me how these people are very good at spending other peoples money!

Before I get a come back I pay for a season ticket or seat that does not warrent you dipping your hand in the owners pocket for a few million here and there, get real.

Reality is that if we don't have a decent Keeper, we won't be in the PL next season. From what I have read on other threads it seems our Owners and MH have taken this view on board, and are looking for a better keeper as a big priority.

You have to ask questions of Hughes in this. Most of us thought he wasnt good enough and we wanted Foster. Now they are going to end up paying 50k to 2 goalies and neither will be as good as Foster or another goalie we could have got for less than those wages.

Ozzie, if you think the Manager deserves "respect" for signing a dud keeper and wanting him replaced after one game, I think you're losing your mind.

I'd love to see you tell that to TF and the board and tell them to pay up his 50k per week 3 year contract and on top of all that, turn around and shake Hughes' hand for a job well done!

We survived last year with a dodgy keeper (and a dodgy defence, wasteful midfield and a mis-firing attack) so it is possible.

I agree with Flanman - it was a shocker on Saturday and there were persistent cries for a centre back but all the calls for losing first teamers and replacing them and the yells to buy a new back line are wasteful IMO (I admit that TF seems to be concerned enough to do this though).

We got a Premiership manager with a history of top 10 finishes and a team full of Premiership standard players (some are evn good Prem players).

We should allow Hughes to do what he's paid for and judge him at Christmas (I feel sure that he/we'll be fine) - throwing money at the situation, allowing the excuse of more time to gel because there's a new back line and showing no faith in our manager is not the answer....

...unless we're all missing the usual turmoil and want to drown in that (again).

Indeed, if Green wasn't a major liability he wouldn't have joined us on a free, his history goes back several years and unlike Foster with his errors he's failed to improve.

Can't see a future for Green if he's dropped by us, what little remains of his reputation would be destroyed for once and for all.

Totally agree, a major C*ck up. But better they try and make it better if they can, rather than leaving us with a nervous wreck, a good but aged and perhaps injured Cerny, and Murphy who I don't think has played at this level yet.

That's not what I'm saying! It was obviously a major mistake to sign Green, not just by judging him on last Saturday, but based on his previous nerve ridden performances pre-QPR, and his displays in pre-season. What I think does deserve respect is IF MH basically owns up to the mistake and tries to fix it by bringing in a new GK, and obviously he needs our Owners support/funds to do that. Many Managers I suspect would not do that, but cover the cracks, their own *rse, and keep playing him or a sub with what could be disastrous results.

If we want another goalkeeper why are we not looking at Craig Gordon, or has he been snapped up. I would have thought he was a better bet than Rob Green in the first place and possibly a lot cheaper. Anyone know where if anywhere he has gone.

No way!!! He's a useless streak, no better than fatty Kenny or Rob Green. In fact, the standard of British Goalkeepers now is dreadful. Almost all of them are muck.
