Knock yourselves out! I only listened on radio so aren't going to vote! _________________________________________________________________ Current standings after the Brighton game: Chester, Aluko, Dudgeon 3 points Stewart 2 points Koren 1 point
Only those who attended should be allowed to vote - otherwise David Burns and Peter Swan basically decide the vote for every away game.
But how do I/we know if the poster has actually gone to the game if they just put 3 names on the thread? I'll not count mine, but the point still stands.
Just got back Odd game with a stupid mix up for the goal which should have been cleared. MoM for me - tough one as no one really stood out - but I'd go with Chester despite his mistake for the goal.
I went, was quite boring, don't know why we played such an unusual formation. 1) Aluko 2) Chester 3) McKenna Gave Aluko man of the match simply because he was the only man who provided any real entertainment.
It was just a suggestion - I'm not saying that you should have to provide proof that you have attended the game etc... I imagine that most people would only provide their ratings if they went to the game anyway. It's your idea, do what you will, I just thought it might skew the votes a little if those who listened via radio all have the same rough opinions.
Aloku for me because he seemed the most likely to make a difference, showed good skill and was always driving forward, but should have scored at least twice Got to say I thought Cairney was good once he came on, seemed to have some urgency and drive about him ...we deserved a point but it was a bloody awful match to watch with the midfield far too congested and they were very jammy with their goal, a clearance bounced off one of their players and into the path of Kazim Richards
I was on Coach 1 of the two Tiger Travel coaches (I've just got back) and the vote on there was Chester according to the woman taking the votes of the people on board. And she said it was a very clear win too.
1.Chester - misjudged cross for the goal but solid during rest of match 2. McKenna - tried to get things going but no real spark 3. Aluko - looked busy Not a great match and subdued atmosphere around the whole ground.
1. Barmby - great attacking play and looked as sharp as he did when he was a Liverpool 2. Turner - ran around the pen area like a man possessed , ok he may have played te bloke who scored onside but still good. 3. McLean ran around loads , he stopped for 15mins for a tea break (allowed) then ran around loads more (people sitting with me said he is shyte)
Thats fair enough and quite a good idea really but its hard to put into practice, same with home games.
1)Aluko 2)Bruce 3)Chester I enjoyed the game in a dead stadium. Only City fans made any noise. Even the protests were dead. Most of the Kean Out chants came from City fans.
I wasn't there but some post's on here said it was Chester who made the mistake for the goal, who was it?
Basically they had a throw into the box, Chester didn't quite make the header which would've cleared the danger. The ball fell kindly for Nuno Gomes, who tried and failed a bicycle kick and the ball dropped to Bruce, who could've confortably cleared the ball out of danger. Instead, he kicked it straight at a Blackburn player, then C-K-R finished it off with basically a tap-in. So they were both at fault I guess. At least that's how it looked from where I was, quite far away, and I could be completely wrong.
1) Aluko 2) McKenna 3) Chester I'd have had Chester above McKenna if he hadn't been for him missing the header for the goal(though it wouldn't have mattered if Bruce hadn't ballsed up too).
