1 point at risk in a 9/2 lay pays 0.22 as in someone has to stake 0.22pt with you to win 1pt. You return 0.22point profit The same as placing a 1point bet on a 1/5 shot, if you bet 1 point you return 0.2pt profit Correct me if am wrong

You've hit the nail on the head, Stick, Edd The Open Fenster just does not seem to understand this. The greatest fun in racing is to work something out for yourself (which, admittedly, I rarely achieve nowadays!) and see it win. Still, he is amusing in a strange kind of way. (R's dipping into piggybank for defenders, I see. No reason to panic yet, but that was an awful start. Believe you did mention some time ago the need for a class central defender above anything else?).
