Rob Green facing competition as MH goes after Boruc.. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/qpr-transfers-artur-boruc-the-ex-celtic-1272759
If this is true then Hughes most definitely is panicking, in which case I'm at a loss to understand how he's gotten everything so wrong during the Summer. Of course this could just be trash talk but if its true, then we're in big trouble.
I hope not mate because this kind of move would demonstrate clearly that Hughes isn't feeling well. (Nines, I had started a thread last night on the Norwich Board before you warned me. Its still running over there and thankfully they seem to have chilled out a bit since they kicked me out and they're having a bit of a laugh. But it could easily have gone the other way so cheers for looking out for me mate. )
No worries mate. I love ya but you do get a tad too excited. Stay calm for a few weeks ya eedjit. I'll go and check it out. As for Hughes and the team, they looked pretty chilled yesterday. I don't think there will be any knee-jerk reactions. Green is a top goalie, and he will prove that.
A keeper apparently short of confidence and we get another one as a vote of no confidence? Highly doubtful. Manager's have egos bigger than footballers and won't admit to mistakes. Why else would Shevchenko, Veron, Forlan, Crespo and countless others play so many Prem games when they clearly couldn't cut it? Managers would rather flog dead horses than backtrack.
really hope Green does come good I have seen him make some fantastic saves for West Ham including plenty of penalties so he can't just turn ****e the day he signs for QPR
Rob Green is a great goalie. We need the Loftus Road faithful to get behind him and let him know it. He will be a fantastic goalie for us. Eddie is no idiot. He will know how to get the best out of him.
Doubt this is true. Probably lazy journos playing on our weaknesses from that game and drumming up a story. But just watched some clips of Green's howler at the 2010 WC. The amount of flak he copped. It's admirable that he's prepared to face the world again let alone the EPL. This will be a very tough season for him. Football never forgets.
You silly sods do you all think that MH is in a room reading who is available and then phoning people with the clubs credit card? The management team will of had targets and options for months TF has already shown that he picks players to buy as well
It could well be true, but not cause of Saturdays result. We would have needed another keeper as Cerny isn't good enough as cover and Murphy too inexperienced. But green will become a firm Favourite if people give him the chance. Being a keeper is all about confidence and it is the hardest job on the pitch. You wait for ages to do anything and suddenly you're called on to do things perfectly, get even slightly wrong and you get a mistake like Saturday, then you have to rebuild your confidence all over again. Any other player who let's a ball bounce over his foot or plays a ball slightly wrong is standard in a game, the game carries on and it usually means nothing, but for a keeper that little mistake and you're buggered. But he will come good.
christ FFS give him a chance, ok he was at fault for first goal but no chance with others, thats all he needs for fans to start slagging him off already, we've got to stick together its only one game in.
If he plays a blinder on Saturday all will be forgiven by the fickle... F*ck me, I sound just like oddball...
I thought Borak played for Khazakstan - looked a real laugh. If MH is looking for somone to provide Green this is promising. If it really means he's looking for someone to replace Green, even better. Just hope this time he finds someone that is solid, and not another nervous wreck making regular blunders.
