Man Cityâs Johnson set for Sunderland Submitted by Andrew Slevison on Tue, 08/21/2012 - 15:51 Manchester City are hoping they can sell Adam Johnson to Sunderland according to recent reports. The 25-year old winger has fallen down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium and is expected to soon complete his £11million move to the Stadium of Light. I would love to see him here but I still think its a bit of an ask. I suppose it depends on how he looks at it.
I'm pretty confident, fee, terms and maybe even medical are complete, just waiting on sinclair it seems
Haha, i didnt get your post about restoring rep, is it because i'm on my phone? Your right though mags did me, couldnt expect anything else after that drunken thread i suppose, lmao though
Is your confidence based on the media coverage we are all privy to , because to suggest that the fee and terms are complete is a pretty bold statement
The thing is, If you get Johnson, where does that leave Mclean? Just thought I'd ask. I see - ---------Saha--------- Johnson---Sess----Larsson ----Gardner--Catts------
When he gets a run of games he's a quality player and I think he'll do grand for you, so long as you get another striker to then put the ball in the net.
I sincerely beleive the fee and terms are agreed, its one of two things imo stopping the completion, either he is waiting for a better offer (which we have publically said we wont be beaten on) or we are waiting for sinclair? Just my opinion though
Off Twitter “@sunechograeme: Don't mean to give folks sleepless night but I'm hearing Newcastle have approached Johnson for talks. Decent source. Hope they're wrong.” “@sunechograeme: Won't print in Echo until I can get it firmed up. Source is rarely wrong. But hope this time that he is.#nailbiter!”
Johnson would be a fantastic signing for the toon, imagine our 4-3-3 with Ben Arfa on one wing, and Johnson on the other? But we have more serious concerns. We need a center back and a fullback, we wont be spending much on wingers, and we wont break bank signing Johnson for 80k a week, so don't read much into it.
