SAF just said he wants more defensive options on the bench. Makes sense - if we are a goal up we'll be much better bringing on Berb than Chicharito, and if we're drawing or a goal down then we can always turn to RVP! He may also be thinking about putting Berb in the shop window - if we go a couple of goals up and Berb gets a good run out then that may spur clubs to bid for him.
no chica is more than happy with the situation at United. More than happy. Chica was not bought to be a starter at this stage and his first season was far better than anyone ever imagined. He like welbeck still need to earn the right to be considered regulars for the first team.
Upsetting him? He came to United as a prospect, had an amazing first season, a poor second and now its basically him starting his United career properly. Full pre season behind him and a battle for the top spot. He will know if he succeeds hes going to be one of the best strikers on earth
Berb has been ****ed about tbh. Still a great player and he did score a few last season for the little game time he got. Hes still as good as torres and carrol combined and multiplied by 10
This. Chicharito's agent issued a statement after RVP's signing, saying something along the lines of Javier is extremely happy at united and has been assured that he is a big part of United heading into the future, and that he understands as a professional there's going to be competition to start games and that'll only make him a better player. Fergies also been adamant about Chicharito being in his plans this season. Hernandez also played a game midweek back in Mexico, where Berbatov did not.
I doubt Chicharito will get upset about being dropped for a single game. He's not some sulky **** like Tevez, Chicharito understands the importance of a squad and that everyone needs to play a role for the club, not for themselves.
