The way Pearce runs is gonna annoy me :) looks like he tries very hard but doesn't really get anywhere haha

Diouf was very professional on Saturday so went up in my book but couldn't really have gone down in it :)

I don't see that we need another RB if I am honest, more competition for the CB position yes...

RB
1) Peltier
2) Byram
3) Lee's

That is more than enough cover, LB we have Drury and White with Pearce being left footed he 'could' be used as emergency cover. It is in the CB position we are short, Byram at RB and Peltier moved to the middle is the preferred option it would seem over using Kisnorbo.

Alright ristac,

Was only suggesting we'd need another RB if NW converts Pelts to a CB. If he goes out to RB as I think he should, then totally agree we need more depth at CB

Wasn't having a dig mate, just bouncing idea's and didn't realise you meant if Peltier was converted (which I would hate to see) <ok>

Think we've got enough defenders, whether they be RB, CB, or LB. I think Warnock just needs time to make all the jigsaw bits fit into place. Who was the new forward we've allegedly just signed? Likely to push Becchio & McCormack until Somma returns?

Peltier has been class for the first two games at centreback. He's strong, doesn't get turned easily and is good in the air. If he was converted to that position, from what I've seen although it's obviously only two games, he's better than Lees.

I've liked what I've seen from Byram as well, and he looks to be very reliable at right back.

Yeah I know mate, no worries, I think he would be a decent CB as othe have said, just think it would leave us a bit short at RB. <ok>

Haven't heard anything about a new forward signing?

Apparently according to Sky, we'd signed Piccionne. But haven't heard anything further.

Just seen a couple of things on twitter that we are close to signing Nicky Maynard on loan, that could be it? <ok>

Reason I wouldn't want to see Peltier converted to CB is that we haven't had a decent RB + LB combo for years. Good players in these positions are hard to find, I would much prefer us to sign a new CB and allow Peltier to play RB but yes I see where you are coming from IF Peltier is going to be continued there we still will need a decent RB

Afternoon Folks, would be wonderful if it is Maynard coming in. Only thing I can think, is that McCormack moves across to the left wing???

There's a nice article in the YEP today, Aiden White saying how there's a buzz around Elland Road again. Anybody notice that?

White said: “There’s a little buzz around the place again and we worked hard to get that, not just on the pitch but off it as well.
“When we were down in Cornwall (for United’s summer tour) it was a good chance to bond. That where you start to develop that buzz. The players take it out on to the pitch and the fans can see it. It all grows from there.

“Last season what happened on the pitch here didn’t help the crowd. They come to Elland Road to see results, good performances and to be entertained. A lot of the time we weren’t there were we? It was always difficult. But for the manager it’s all been about building towards this season.

“Maybe the mood is down to the manager or maybe it’s down to the new signings. We had a big clear out squad wise and the players who’ve come in have been excellent. It might be that the fans are getting a buzz off them.

Afternoon all,

Just read that Green's out for a few weeks, according to NW. Pity. I thought he gave us good options on Saturday. Not quite sure who should take his place ... thoughts?
