the lad wants a fresh challenge and good luck to him he has been a good servant to the club was very good for us yesterday so if that is his last game then he leaves us after a MOTM performance IMO I hope we get a couple of million for the lad and it can go towards this Croatian lad, it will reduce the wage bit that much more that will be good for us.
Sunderland AFC News And Banter Page Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill has confirmed Kieran Richardson has told him he would like to leave the club.Richardson threw his shirt into the travelling supporters after the final whistle at Arsenal and O'Neill admitted the former Manchester United man had been keen on a move back to his native London. Queens Park Rangers and West Ham are both said to be keen on the 27-year-old England international. "Kieron came to see me a while ago in the last transfer window. For family issues and things, he thought there maybe needed a change," said O'Neill. "No-one has come in and made an offer. That, though, does not mean there is nothing happening, I just don't know. "But if he performs like he did against Arsenal, I would like to keep him."
would be absolutely buzzing if that happened mate and hopefully 2 or 3 of them into the line up for next week, would be delighted if we got LB - Ivan Strinic RB - Alan Hutton CM - sum1 from la liga, add some vision and class into the centre of midfield W - Adam Johnson W - 1 of Thomas Ince, Matt Phillips or Wilfried Zaha CF - John Guidetti CF - Stephen Fletcher think I might be asking for 1 more than we will get there but u never know, can still see 1 or 2 more following Richardson out
I would be happy with that mate. I think we will still get fletcher. As for LB I don't know anything about Strinic. I would love for us to sign Olsson. If we could get Fletcher/Berbatov Guidetti Olsson Johnson N'zonzi Hutton Matty Phillips I would be over the moon
It's nice to see that although he never set the world alight he has for sure left lasting memories with us all and is the longest serving member with this club. If he wanst to leave for personal reasons then I'd like to say thanks Ricco...
Id go get Olsson for left back then any team that comes in for Rico id ask for 1-2m more than what we paid for Olsson. Richardson can play lb,lw or attacking midfield. We paid 6m and he's developed into a good all round player. We should get 7-8m for him but we won't we'll get 2-3m. Im hoping QPR and West Ham get a bidding war going to bump up the fee. Think West Ham would be the better move for him
This with bells on!! Last year of his contract unfortunatelyl parker which basically halves the value
Decent player and, despite the odd good game at LB is not a LB. Not his fault I know and wouldn't slate him for that in itself, he did however give it his best shot there for 3 or so seasons. Maybe that pissed him off enough to want to try somewhere else, personally speaking I'd try to keep hold of him however if this crazy Croatian comes in at LB where would he play?
Been a great servant to the club, some memorable moments, and always got on with it. Good luck to him, and once again thanks for that free kick Kieran, I was in it's direct path and I'll never forget the elation of seeing us win a first derby at home in my lifetime. Whoever gets him, is getting a smashing, versatile player. I'd want at least £4million.
Problem being, last season under contract, and common knowledge he wants to head south. We'll have to take what we get, but for me he owes us nowt.
Agreed pal. It's nice to see a player leaving with our best wishes and without the drama, transfer requests etc etc. Good luck to him, he will always be remembered as the first man who so nearly gave me a hard-on
He never quite got to where I hoped, but still decent enough. I wish him all the best. $4 or $5m sounds about right, particularly if 3 clubs are keen. I hope we've got a good replacement lined up.
I like the lad and has been a good servant he goes with my best wishes His free kick against the scum will alwys be remembered. As for signings i still think Fletcher is ours Would love Johnson but also like the lad Zaha from palace
I still don't think we ever played the lad in a position if would have had more success at. He is an attacking player not a left back. He goes with a lot of goodwill and will receive a heroes welcome back here anytime.
