http://blogs.coventrytelegraph.net/ladslounge/2011/04/fa-cup-final-between-mancheste.html THIS year's FA Cup Final between Manchester City and Stoke City seems destined to be yet another occasion where the real fans get shafted. After both football clubs packed out their 34,000 allocations for semi-finals at Wembley - for what turned out to be historic occasions for each - the number of fans able to experience the final itself will now be slashed. A decision expected on Thursday will announce only around 25,000 supporters from each club will be allowed in to Wembley - a stadium which holds 90,000. "The final is the FA's showcase game," said Tony Scholes, Stoke City's chief executive. "So they do allocate a lot of tickets to people in the national game around the country. But I promise our supporters that we will do everything possible to maximise our allocation." In reality, neither club can do a lot about a situation which has been the case for the FA Cup Final for as long as anyone can remember. The FA's 'football family' look set to gobble up almost half the seats in the stadium; including representatives from the grass roots level of the game. But mainly it will be people who work for an FA Cup sponsor, the Football Association or those who have a Wembley season ticket on the middle, corporate ring of the stadium. This for a game that will mean more to Manchester City fans than any over the past 35 years. And for Stoke City fans, this is the biggest game in the club's 147 year existence. A club season ticket holder for 20 years? Sorry no tickets for you. Did you say your mate works for E.ON? Come along, have four!
I got offered 8 tickets on Monday for ã250 each for the middle tier My sister got 2 for ã150 for the semi but the same company want more for the final as there's less tickets in circulation from the clubs It's a disgrace,as is the rip off that is wembley, hardly anyone was buying anything last Saturday due to the beer/food prices. They would have sold out if it had been priced reasonably
