Cabs better fecking not go, got his name printed on my shirt <laugh>

I think only clubs in Europe or Madrid/Barca and potentially Milan now they've just earned a shedload would be able to pay the obscene prices we'd ask for our players. Of them, I can see Spurs would take Krul, but he wouldn't go there, Man U would take Cabs, but they're looking at Kaka if the rumours are to be believed. Can't see any of them needing HBA right now for the price he'd take. Ba seems loyal and with his potentially explosive knee. Colo is too old now. Cisse I just don't see going.

This, plus Tiote has stated he doesn't want to go.

Doesn't rule it out, but I think it is unlikely.

Got Cabs on my away top, wouldn't like to see him go either. Not just because of having his name on my top.

Yes, but with an enlightened new optimistic attitude towards life <ok>

To be honest, he's not been bad, and so long as he's posting reasonable things he's enhancing the board in my opinion. Nobody will be calling us deluded if they see his posts!

Still not going to give him rep til he's nice and polite with me <wah>

It's a fair question Bubble, but I genuinely think we will keep our top players this time.

For the first time in 4 seasons, I have faith, as I think we've reached the tipping point where:

    a) we do not 'need' to sell anyone for pure financial reasons,
    b) our best players 'want' to be at the club,
    c) we have a reason for players to stay - i.e. on the back of a good season and a crack at Europa experience

IF a huge offer comes in that the club feels it cannot turn down (like the carroll deal was), then yes it's possible. But that would mean we'd get loads in the bank to re-invest sensibly and take the club forward. Just look at the players we've acquiredd with Carroll's tranfer fee.

But I do have a good feeling that this season, for once, we won't get a horrible surprise on transfer deadline day. <ok>

Reasonable question, don't know why so many people getting their panties in a twist over it.

Personally can't see anyone leaving though. We have European Footy, one of the best grounds/fans on the continent, an ambition to break the top 4, a reasonable wage structure and most of our "stars" are guaranteed a lot of first team football this season.

Like Bubble says though money does talk and if Real or Barcelona came in for Cabs or Tiote I would have no problem with them leaving as long as it works for all involved but cant see them wanting to leave for another English club.

It's more the fact he thinks half the team will be under auction, yet calls it realistic...

I don't think there's anyone who would be interested in our players for what we'd sell at... Barca have midfield talent coming out of their... well let's just say every orifice known to man! Real are getting Modric, PSG have spent mega bucks on players already, Man City have the same situation as Barca (only slightly less talented) and Spurs wouldn't be a big enough step up, especially after we've just beat them and all the top players played (except Colo... ****tttt paniicc!). The fact is, if our players were under offer, they would not have played. So as yet, no need to be down about it and think they could all be off. Man Utd is the only potentially plausible destination I can see, but they have got Fletcher back, signed Kagawa and have shelled out on Van Persie... So that's not very likely either.

Quite nice to think those are the calibre clubs we would be selling to mind... Not bad Mr Carr...

The only one I'm concerned with is Tiote. He would fit the bill for so many that you have to give a thought. It depends though if anyone can offer Mike 20m plus? If they can it might be tough. I don't think he wants to leave but once a club accepts a bid the writing is on the wall. It would be lovely to think he could just turn round and say no but the reality is it doesn't work like that.

Its a bit of a test for the board I suppose, how ambitious do they want to be. We don't need the money desperately, but he does have to get his money back. He can either back Pards to get it back through doing well, or he can sell one big player each summer and do it that way. Or both!

What about Coloccini he was "absent with a knock" according to my fantasy team update?

Do you think he is on his way out?

It's already an improvement for us to be worrying over whether all the mentioned names are gone instead of :

    Viduka
    Alan fecking Smith
    Mickey
    Geremi
    etc

and those who couldn't cut it...We had problems offloading players nobody wanted, only shows how far we've come along now... we are having problems keeping players everyone covets..
In any case, I'm sure Stingy Mike wouldn't sell cheap so we won't be on the losing end
