Cech - 7/10 - Made 3 decent saves, dodgy distribution at times though.

Ivanovic - 6/10 - Good goal, did ok but got beat a couple of times by Moses.
Luiz - 8/10 - Thought he was pretty solid today!
    Terry - 8/10 - Again, solid!
A.Cole - 6/10 - Did ok but got beat by Moses on a couple of occasions.

Mikel - 6/10 - Did alright, needs to improve a bit in my opinion.
Lampard - 6/10 - Did alright, still banging in the penalties! DM is a position we need to improve, Cabaye please!

    Mata - 5/10 - Didn't really do much, needs a rest.
Hazard - 8/10 - Looks very sharp and dangerous, set up the first 2 goals, looking good!
Bertrand - 6/10 - Solid defensive performances, helped out A.Cole a lot. Didn't other much in attack.

Torres - 5/10 - Very quiet, didn't really do any thing much.

    Subs:
Oscar - 8/10 - In his 15-20 mins on the pitch I thought he looked great, nearly scored, set up Ivan for a chance and passed the ball nicely!
Meireles - 5/10 - Had 5 mins and didn't really do any thing.

Also.......Victor Moses - 8/10 - Really did well, tore our fullbacks apart! At 21 he will surely only get better and for £10m seems like a decent signing.

Man Of The Match - Hazard.

Luiz & Terry were great too!

Thought we did well, hopefully we will improve as well! <ok>

    Re Moses
I think the fee they're now looking for is 8.5m. If I recall we had to pay 5m comp for Sturridge and I would guess it would be around that for Moses so if we waited until next summer so basically we're being asked to pay 3.5m to get him for this season.

5 for Mata and Torres are harsh. If you're going to put Mikel on a 6 then so should they.

Mata and Torres gave decent performances today--definitely better than 5's.

RDM was right about Mata though,he does need a rest. It's ridiculous Spain were allowed to have him for both tournaments. Looks like Oscar can fill the void. At the least Mata shouldn't go to Monaco.

Did we win. ??? Sorry , I fell asleep after 20 mins. Woke up just in time to see the parked bus drive away.
Do we look anything like Barcelona with our new attacking midfield ???

Seriously, that was bloody boring. We need a serious look at our midfield. Send Mata to Majorca for a week in the sun and a good rest, put Oscars name at the top of the sheet for next week, and feed Torres' nothing but potatoes for a week to bulk him up. If we keep pretending he can play like Drogba, he needs to be as big as Drogba.

Maybe Mata and Torres ratings were harsh, fair enough <ok> Still want to see more from them.

Sending Mata on holiday for a week sounds like a great idea, it's not like we drastically need him right now or any thing.

We were a bit boring but I think we will improve, can't wait to see Hazard, Oscar, Mata, Marin in the same side, could be deadly!

Mata needs a rest. I heard something about us planning to five him the whole of September off as long as the RFEF agree to do the same (they should really considering they don't even need him).

You are right, fit and with a few games under their belts the players you mention will spark us up no end. What we did see today is the the ones who did play can't do it. We really need the new young talent to move us on from the dross served up today. My guess is about another 4 weeks ,and we should be flying.

Well I thought Torres was utterly ****. Looked like he couldn't be arsed till he nearly scored then put in a tad of effort.

Agree with Mata needing a rest and I think Hazard can replace him centrally whilst Oscar/Marin move to the left with Ramires on the right.

Drogs - Would you start Sturridge upfront midweek at home to Reading? Sounds like a game for Torres to rest and Sturridge to impress......haha.

Or play Torres and hope he gets a goal or 2 and builds his 'confidence' :emoticon-0114-dull:

Aha fair enough <ok> I have a feeling we won't sign a new striker in this window, so let's hope Torres is up for it. To be fair he has looked sharp most times he has played for us at the end of last season and did well for Spain, also did well and scored a nice goal against City so let's hope it continues.

Well Torres should've had a penalty, had one cleared off the line & made one great run into the box leaving 4 defenders for dead!

Torres run his socks off across the Wigan back line.

Very impressed by the lads professionalism today. Almost as if we were saying, 7 minutes gone and our job is done, now shut up shop.

Torres still isn't getting the type of service he needs from our midfield. Through ball is just too slow. With Oscar, hazard , etc, bedded in we will improve. My worry is we play to Torres as if he is Drogba and he gets pushed off the ball all the time. When he gets the odd ball to run onto he looks great, 3 times last game, one a penalty ??? , one cleared off the line. Thats how he needs to be supplied.

I completely forgot about that Torres chance! He was very unlucky not to score and it was quite a good finish!

    Torres - 6/10 ;)
