Torres has no complaints this season, Chelsea have the quality to make any striker look world class so if Torres doesnt hit the back of the net frequently this season he should retire
UNLucky = Nando Ryan was anonymous 1st half in the lines of certain florent.. in 2nd half he has come to life - made few good runs and passes
Nice to get such a good start, but the rest of the first half made my nerves bad! Came back a bit in the second. Wigan are without doubt far too good to go down , whatever the pundits say! Hazard was class, Oscar showed some nice touches, Cech, Mata and Terry solid as ever! The rest need to come in to Cobham for some extra training!
Not a great performance but fairly comfortable and no one really extending themselves with 3 games in 6 days. Was good to see Oscar getting game time and I'm guessing he will start Wed and Mata rested. Still think there's a gap between defense and attack that someone needs to fill. Maybe instead of Mikel/Lamps it needs to be Lamps/Ramires with Frank totally committed to the defensive role. Not sure,just something missing there for me. Hazard coming on nicely. Torres did ok for me. Was unlucky with the goal line clearance and battled hard there to get any sort of shot in. Team gets 6.5/10 for me.
THIS I was expecting the chelsea support to start singing and reminds him thats he's allowed to book wigan players!
Good result today, minimal effort and a very professional approach. Oscar to start on Wednesday and Hazard to score first 'official' goal.
It's not going to be fireworks first day. We saw glimpses of the future but we're still working on it. Give it 10 games or so.
