We hadn't won the opening game of a season for 7 years. We were apparently going to struggle with Buck leaving and a few players, but, based on this performance I think we can look forwards to a decent season.
Michael Laudrup, take a bow. You have added the final piece in the jig saw. We now pass with perfection, but with the final touch, goals. Okay, it's still early, but we could have scored 8 or 9 today, and if we continue to play that way I think we'll stay up with ease.

Vorm, what can I say, fantastic as usual. Worried the vultures may still come in.
Michu, what a signing. £2million? REALLY!!!! Shrewd business as usual from Swansea City!!!!
Dyer. What have you been doing all summer? At this rate he'll soon overtake Messi!!! He's added that shooing ability to his game.
Routledge, you have shown just why we should sell Sinclair for £5.7 million. Do we need him, do we hell.

Anyhow. Going to celebrate is style. The season is underway, and what a good one it will be!!!

2m for Michu is an absolute steal. I complete performance from the lads, all put in an excellent shift. I was concerned after going 1 up that we did give the ball away a bit to easy for my liking, but that may be with the new ethos of getting the ball forward earlier. Routledge's & Kemy's passes to Nathan were sublime. Looking forward to MOTD see Hansen's face.

Dragon the more i hear from laudrup the more i like him, his interviews are very sincere and he appears very grounded for all he has acheived in the game, we don't know it yet but i suspect this fella is going to turn out to be a real good manager for our club<ok>

I suspect he'll be really successful here and then be poached by a bigger club. Same old. But you can't worry about such things, let's just enjoy his time here and wish him all the best.

I get the feeling that he won't be so keen to jump to a bigger club. He's done pretty much everything in the game and has nothing to prove. I think he'd be happier to build something with us than face the pressure of having to win trophies elsewhere.
I fancy that Laudrup could be right for us and we can be right for him, and he will be aware of that more than anybody

Imo , for the first time since leaving Brondby , after 1 season stints at 3 other clubs , Laudrup is finally at home at Swansea , up to his eyeballs in respect !

    Amazing start.

The sheer poetry of todays opener has turned me onto The Bard Of Avon for inspiration. It seems William Shakespeare had predicted this season in the 16th century. I have heard he has written one called Michu'll Do You For Nothing......sounds really good. Will I be able to get it in the Central Library?

    That's terrible, Swim. <doh>

I thought that measure for measure we we better than them at yesterday's midsummer daydream and all's well that end's well. Truly was the taming of the Q.

OK that was crap as well. <laugh>

Alas, poor Rogers! I knew him well: a fellow
of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy: he hath
borne me on his back a thousand times; and now, how
abhorred in my imagination it is!

While everyone is in classical mode quoting Shakespeare and so on, what about HAMLET as an appropriate nickname for Michael Laudrup? The Prince of Denmark. Mentioned it on another thread.

Just want to add my congrats into the mix lads and lasses.

What a result for you. Enjoy. Team looked well balanced across the park.

My gratitude to those of you who came over to our board. Banter was fun but in no way OTT. Magnanimous to a fault - except for the embarrassing Fake Jack Army. What's happened to DragonPhill? Thought you'd be over there giving us your normal hell mate!!
