I don't think tarbs should be playing..... Yes he does some great things but he just gives the ball away to much, he should not be taking set pieces and for the Swanseas third goal what he did was poor he just let has man run past him and no effot to get back
Taarabt is a luxury we cannot afford, on his day brilliant but he has more bad days than good and when hes bad !!!!.Why have all the managers assigned him to set pieces,he never gets the ball of the ground.
This is a great thread, great points made. Agree with almost everything. MH got it wrong, very badly as it turns out. We need a CB who is a leader. Swans finished 11th last year. They are a good team but not 5 goals better than us that's for sure. We will improve. A realistic target is 14-13. A win against Norwich and all will be well again
I didn't think Taraabt was that bad :S He was one of the few who looked like he was giving his all until the end. Even Park misplaced some passes
Taarabt was probably to blame for two of the Swansea goals by giving the ball away I think he was very bad for the team today
He was injured, I agree with the 1st few points, Ive always said Cisse cant play the lone man, HH shouldnt have been sold and we need at least 1 more target man because a Hughes team cannot play without one. Id also add why the **** did he get loads of wide players and no CM and then play the wide players in the middle? Hoilett is such a waste.
Dont understand people saying Park and Fabio didnt play well...thought they were very good until there wasnt much to play for.
Hello everyone, not a good start was it? Let's not get over depressed though. Hughes will do better. Worryingly though, I don't think some of our people will. Green is not a good prem keeper. Forget the caps, he shouldn't have had those.( Paddy and Radek were better) SWP is beyond his sell by. Literally and figuratively.( Always flattered to deceive ) Park is not remotely interested in QPR. He'll try his best, but that won't do. ( Fergy knew his true value ) Adel is supremely talented, but not equiped mentally for the prem. ( Spurs and last season proved that ) We do have some quality ( Makie, Hoilet, Diakite, Sisse, Zamora ) and Hughes must make them gell, which I think he will. Not sure what we do for a keeper though, really hope I'm wrong about Green. However I believe we are in for a rough ride for a month or two yet. Pre season games mean nothing as we all know. They're just part of the fitness campaign. The lads will toughen up and I think we'll become a good, hard to beat side.
Think you're wrong about Park....looked class. Mackie ran....and ran.....and............NOTHING!! ( Missed an absolute sitter too!! )
You may be right about Park Col, I do hope so. Perhaps it's me but I just don't se him providing the leadership as captain and maybe Hughes shouldn't have burdened him with that just yet. Time will tell, I do think he's a good player and can't fault his work rate, I just think he's a support player not a creator and in his position we need creativity.
Fair enough mate cant say I watched him too much... Still think he will be a good player for us this season though.
I will the boy is very good but we just didn't flow today tried too hard in fact Mackies shot had of gone in then we may have of won. Loads of positives today for me and best not look at the result we lost 5-0 yet had more direct shots on target Adel shot first half shear brilliance and the Swans have a great keeper Hats off to the swans great team
