And defiantly no Ranger! He's a younger lazier version. GET RID.

Be harsh to drop Lovenkrands after he had his best game for us all season. Looked lively and put in the effort tonight.

Guthrie pulled the strings tonight from the midfield, be difficult to drop him too. It's a good position to be in, having to drop in form players!

Everyone seemed to missplace all their passes to him

I'd consider Krul for the Blackpool game, you can't just drop him straight away after a performance like that. Well you can, but he's earned another match at least in my opinion.

I'll drop Nolan personally but can't see Pardew thinking the same. We could really use Guthrie's passing and mobility against Blackpool's energetic and attacking style of play.

We've been saying drop Nolan for ages though, and look at his goals tally!

Need Nolan's goals though, it's a tough one.

Here is an idea, don't start Ireland against Blackpool <doh>

He has only just got back from a long time out, hardly ready to start. Bring him on for half an hour again. Too harsh to drop Guthrie or Loverman, were two of our best players today, especially Guthrie.

Ireland looked half a yard off the pace to me but that's understandable and will come with games. Thought he had a few nice one touch passes to link up play

Fair point, got carried away myself. Pardew will probably stay with the same side.

I'd like to see him start against Blackpool too. Where I don't know. Maybe a 4-5-1 with Nolan playing off Ameobi.

Thats what I would do, but I have a feeling Shola might be injured, he was 'touch and go' to make this game and looked knackered when he came off. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't make the Blackpool game.
