So, if you are a survivor from the destruction of BBC-606-forum-city, you'll know that it was Badgers, and not Jonathon Ross' wage demands together with the worsening financial climate and consequently the tightening of Beebs purse strings, that led to the siege and capture of our fair forum...

Stricken refugees arrived here, on Not606 (ingeniously emphasizing the "Not" so as to avoid detection on the internet-google-machine and provide safe haven), while the Badger war effort rooted out many a good man (and woman) among lesser disguised forums. The Badger King, Adolf Badgler, and his right clawed Badger, Colourrich (on account of him not conforming to the Badger's vision of perfection, being a horribly stripey yellow, bananas in pjs monstrosity) Limpler (a mystery, because he walked fine... Many suspected a Badger-fits scam, channel four made a documentary) hailed themselves triumphant victors...

Now, having discovered a rampant colony (AB, ACS, Obi, LTF, Tash, Somebody's Pinched my Sombrero etc etc etc) of the old forum elite-wum-bashing force in new realms, together with new blood filling the once depleted ranks (and I'm told Toonforum is doing quite well also), the Badgers have recognised that they are severely outnumbered once more (well they can only count to 6, seeing as that is roughly how many "toes" a healthy Badger has to count on). From what we know, most have gone into hiding in Finland, where a weak coalition (weirdly consisting of pretty much all the parties it's possible to vote for) have left room for a puppet Badger president... Also, they love the ruisleipa, and the fact every dish contains either berries, mushrooms or nuts (although sadly for them not human ones)...

How do we know... Well they leave a trail. See below the damning evidence... (Caution, these images have disturbing content for non-badgers)...

After they ransacked Darlo FC and left them tinkering on the edge of existence (the Town still lives, and appeared completely destroyed, but a local assured me that's how it's always looked... Maybe he was traumatized)...

They got lost in Austria, attacking Lask Linz... Due to a savage bout of TB attacking all knowledge and playing staff of the club, their wiki page hasn't even allowed for information on their recent season's progress to reach public ears... Look at these guys, showing clear symptoms of the disease... In a huddle... Like they'd won the championship... But they haven't... Not since 1965... Told you, MENTAL...

Next they appeared in Italy, dragging Juventus' manager into the midst of another match fixing scandal... This image has Badger's pawprints all over it! Look at the child crying... Won't somebody think of the children?!

    art-svJUVENTUS-420x0.jpg

And after making hay with Siena (until they bowed out sighting a dodgy "broken" toe), they gathered momentum to the possible birthplace of Santa... Not the Coca Cola branding and manufacturing plants in the US, oh no... FINLAND

One can only be sure that they will gather their forces for another attack at some point, and that they could be among us (on Home match-days at least, Away days are more difficult), so we must keep up our guard... They tempted Mike with a tainted pasty which got us relegated (so put down that magpie related almanack, it talks badgerdung), what's to say they won't force him to sell our best player, Shola, to Sunderland?! The only hope is to keep up the strength of the forum by posting opinions about NUFC!!!

    FTB!!!

Ah this reminded me of our relentless campaign on 606 to get badger smilies.

I love you with all of my heart JPF and with one of my kidneys too!

I used to post on old BBC 606 under a different name. I mainly used to lambast Ashley and troll mackems.

Also, I once saw a badger get put down, it pissed everywhere and stank. The end.

I'll have to owe you some trauma rep for that, can you remember how scarey some of the badger pics were?

Badgers have been around here in The Netherlands for ages, seriously.

Heracles Almelo is infested and you might just recognize the #12 striker

Thought this was going to be about actual badgers. Kind of disappointed.

Excatly! This is why I specifically requested a badger story thread from JPF as his official apology for comments on another post. Took me back to the old BADGER days.

And, yes National Bassong Day was also excellent. We had so many posts for that one thread. <ok>

Imagine if we still had Bassong and an opposition player were double-tackled in a Bassong-Tiote sandwich of doom! <yikes>

<laugh> I'm waiting for Europa games where we could possibly opt to play Bigi and Tiote in the same team!

Good could be the new Bassong! The old one was wasted by Spurs. Still held hope we could sign him back one day, but he's not advanced much since he's with us and probably wouldn't be worth it now...

Still, a new season, I'm sure we'll find a suitable new hero to worship appropriately with a thread about how he'd kick Chuck Norris' ass!
