    3.10 - Najlaa
    3.45 - Ploopluck Bridge
4.15 - First In the Queue.
    4.45 - Raajih
    5.20 - Go Silver Bullet(ew)
5.50 - Lord Redsgirth (nap) Better on G or G/S, first run for new stable, good h/cap mark and 7lb claimer.

Quel - I know this goes against two your keen on and if mines don't win hope yours do the needful.<ok>

I bet you are delighted Sir Henry pulled out that good old fav of yours out tmz - what was her name - the one with no class ? she burnt off the colts last time out - sorry I can't remember I was told to get out by some prat called Borris if I had backed her. ;)

    best of luck tmz fella

Anyhow back to the equines and I dont mean Van Nistelrooy.

I'm backing Alanza e/w today at 9/1. in the 3.05 at Newbury.

She is imo a classic 7f specialist who thrives off a srong pace on a straight course.I'm convinced fast ground suits her best even though she has form with give. She was never put in the race LTO in the G1 Falmouth with the ground against her but kept on nicely under tender handling behind the leaders.

Loads to find on ratings and held by Strong Suit on collateral form but I just think she hasn't hit her peak yet and wouldn't have been kept in training after winning a G3 last year if connections didn't think she was capable of better.

Strong Suit stands out like a trouser lump in a t***y bar but hasn't convinced this year and the Godolphin horse seems he may be better over 6f.

The rest are much of a muchness and if Librano or Majestic Miles go off in front at a decent clip,Alanza should be closing late for a place at least and very possibly a win. This filly is underrated.

Can't remember the last Ox runner at Newbury and all his raiders warrant considerable respect.

    Decent e/w punt for me.

    GL all.

Wayward, Sunshine Always runs again today in the greys race at Newmarket 2.45 and my info is that wednesday was a tune up for this. 25-1 on 365 so worth a dabble with the Swedish bird claiming seven pounds too! Will need to be handy.

Have backed Strong Suit and Masked Marvel in singles and a double today. Both finally get their favoured conditions which is enough to tempt me to place my first wagers in a while.

    First day bet -

Liverpool/Forest/MKDons/Rotherham - All to win Four Fold
Marc Richards to score first (Town at AFC Wimbledon) - 5/1
    Chesterfield to win 2-0
    Chesterfield to win 3-1

and then the old horse racing selection -

    3.30 Ripon - Alben Star - 10/1 EW

This horse will win a big race at some point, and I think today could be that point. There seems to be plenty of pace drawn 9 and below (Es Que Love is fastest horse in race for me) and I think the horse will enjoy a tow into the race, before picking them up in the shadows of the post. Surprised it drifted this morning in the market and the price now is very fair.

    Cracking card at Newbury, but so competitive as to be almost insoluble. Consequently, I've gone for a Patent, as follows;

2:00 Ninjago (Hughsie's Hottie from his column)
2:30 Brown Panther (followed this off a few cliffs, won't be stopping now)
3.05 Strong Suit (a Gp1 horse in waiting, and well suited by this trip)

Then there's always the handicaps to get out of jail. Pins out.

    15.00 Chester- Local Hero- 5/1

Won a very competitive handicap lto in the summer hurdle and has always been nearly there in these flat handicaps. Is running off a lower mark then his last run at newbury which was very strange, but he doesnt seem the horse to me to stay down for very long

    14.55 Ripon- Al Muheer- 8/1 e/w

Small e/w cant be discounted if on a good day, but has known to gone a miss as of late, but one good run will get him back to winning ways and today will be that start!

Yeah just noticed that Stick, but picked up one in the same race from my NAG me that goes off at a very nice price.

ROYAL BAJAN 33/1 EW is one i follow religiously and despite all of the negatives such as seems in the grip of the handicapper, best form on all weather and isnt running at his favourite distance. He he has shown glimpses that he may get 6f, the ground will suit won over 5f on Good to Firm, likes a strong pace and with a clear run has a blistering turn of foot which is enough to see him get involved up the Newmarket hill, looks as if he may have been targeted for this race and is James Givens only runner at the meeting.
