What would some of our players worth be? In this window we've seen Jack Rodwell and Joe Allen both move for 15m, crazy money if you ask me, both are decent players but neither offer that much of a goal threat or much creativity.

So what are the likes of Colback, Cattermole, Larsson, McClean and Sess worth in today's market?

Colback has vastly improved over the last two seasons and is not far behind if not at all the likes of Henderson, Rodwell and Allen yet is not seemed to be rated that highly by other clubs or hyped up by the press which in some ways is to our advantage but doesn't do much for the lads ambitions to get a chance in the england setup. Hopefully if Jack can add a few more goals and assists to his game this season he will get the credit he deserves.
    Value: 10m

When people hear the name Cattermole they immediately think dirty player and thug, not helped at all by the press and Catts doesn't exactly help himself with his of the field antics but on the football pitch there aren't many better English defensive midfielders out there. He has a tremendous work rate and is great at breaking up the play, he had a pass completion rate of 81% last year which isn't too shabby and he is turning into a great captain for us on pitch imo. So what is his value? Well he is still only 24 so has his best years ahead of him, and is English which seems to bump up your price regardless of ability.

    Value: 8-12m

Thought Seb on a free was an excellent piece of business by Bruce and what Larsson lacks in pace he make up for with sheer graft and pure excellence from set pieces which every team needs.
    Value:6-8m

Will be interesting to see how McClean does this season but I'm not worried for him at all. There aren't many players around so direct (like Bale) strong and quick and he's also good in the air, if he can learn to use his right foot in a couple of years we could have one of the best wingers in the PL should we e able to hold on for him. Already becoming a regular for Ireland and is still fairly young.
    Value: 14-16m

Can't praise Sess high enough absolutely love the bloke and will be devastated if we sell him this window. Great pace and touch, very agile and capable of that piece of magic we lacked for so long before we came. As for his value he is 28 now so probably in his prime but still worth a hefty sum for us.
    Value: 15m

Well done if you read through that I'm interested to see what other think and that includes mags.

I'd agree with most of that and thinking about it, our squad is worth a helluva lot of money.
I'd say jimmy is nearer £20m.

    I would say

Cattermole, Colback and Larsson all 6-7m

    McClean - 15m

    Sessegnon - 15m

Imagine when Super Kev banged in 30goals for us in a season, what would he of been worth then if the prices had of been what they are in todays market! Carroll went for 36m, super kev would of been worth 50m then

I'd say Jack is worth more, based on the ridiculous nature of the market, he's definitely a more valuable asset than Catts, and is developing at a crazy rate.

If he improves half as much this season as last, we have an England midfielder, he was superb at times last season.

I'd like to see him get hold of the game by the balls a bit more, as when he does, we always look a better side, that'll come with confidence, which is clearly coming, takes a bit longer for a ginge ;)

He did ask for a mags opinion so here goes:

Less than £1m all of them.

Okay seriously, 10 for Colback, 6 for Cattermole, 6 for Larsson, 12 for Sessegnon, 12 for McClean (would be 20 if he was English).

When you see those 2 going for £15m, then it makes me all the more certain that Fletcher is worth £15m or more. Fletcher will score more goals than those 2 put together in any given season and thus, at 25 years old, is worth every penny.

i read an article today saying thats exactly what he wants to do take hold of a game and get noticed more!

and that mon has told him he expects a lot from him this season and he is ready for the challenge.

weve got a few coming through now that could be very good players..

This isn't about Tiote. This is Sunderland valuations. Cattermole isn't very good at playing football. Too think you could get up to £12m is odd. Colback is much better, younger and shinier.
