Courtesy of wiki - Judge is known for his energy and his driving runs, as well as his ability to score spectacular long range goals. This has led to him being nicknamed "The Irish Messi" by players, fans and pundits.

That Koutsi was the 'Greek Messi'.
    Aluko is the 'Nigerian Messi'.
And now Judge is the 'Irish Messi'.

    Can't we just get Messi?

There really isn't one. Ashley Young would probably be the most likely comparison. Can play wing/attacking midfield, quite tricky and scores a fair few.

Dave Kitson - Jamie Coppinger - Nigel Reo-Coker and now Alan Judge. Been an interesting week for rumours.

    Smoke and mirrors maybe ?

It's football right? Where strikers are paid to score goals? 1 goal every 8 games is not good enough, simple. Yeah he's a nice guy, works hard and runs himself into the ground but for me he doesn't contribute enough to command a starting spot, okay option off the bench I suppose.

Well......you might see how it goes tomorrow: McLean and the Dornier bomber (no Fryatt). Will it work? Who knows.

    - But give it a chance, ffs!

P.S. - would have very likely been a better shout if we'd had Aluko as well as Stewart.

Aaron McLean hasn't scored the goals we thought he would but over the past 18 months or so, we've been a top 8 Championship side who are better with him in the team than without. So I think he's doing alright.

As for Reo-Coker, it's unlikely. AS OLM points out, he didn't want to play in the Championship so cancelled his contract at Bolton. However, if he hasn't had the offers he thought he would and we will pay him a wedge, it's still possible. Just not probable.
