http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/philmcnulty/2012/08/my_premier_league_2012-13_pred.html Quite a reasonable article and i wouldn't really disagree with much in it. however i do think United will win the league with RVP's added fire power and Vidic back
word of warning - phil mcnulty has a woeful record of predictions! how the guy made it as head of sport at the bbc i'll never know... outside of liverpool and the manchester clubs, there is literally no interest from him. even with those he's so blinkered that he struggles.
True but its nice to see someone in the media not thinking little old norwich will go down. Having looked again i don't agree Southampton will go down and think West Brom will struggle.
Pundits seem to either be saying we are in for a struggle and will be relegated, or in for a struggle but just have enough (like Alan Smith in the Telegraph today) i think we all realise it's going to be a tough one, hope we can enjoy it
its a myth that everyone thinks we'll go down next year. from what i've read its about 40% who think we will, 60% think we'll be fine. we are without question one of the contenders to be relegated so its inevitable that every now and then, people will chose us for the drop. what i find strange is the lack of people suggesting west ham will go down. for me, they are the worst of the promoted teams and will be a car crash if results don't go perfectly, or indeed, if they don't play 'the west ham way', as sam promised their fans last year. he'll be out on his ear, and with the bizarre make up of his squad it won't be easy to get results out of that lot.
He thinks villa will finish ahead of the Toon that's a brave prediction Don't think I will take any notice if this guy
I'm surprised how many people think Fulham will have a safe season. They've lost Zamora, Johnson and looks like Dempsey (who's not in the squad for tomorrow- good for us!) and replaced them with Rodallega (hardly scored or played last season) and Petric (might be good but can't replace all of those goals), and also lost Danny Murphy. I think they might struggle...
Agreed about West Ham supers, i don't rate their new signings either. Also Stoke and WBA (to be fair they were both below us last year) Also more pundits seem to think we will struggle more than swansea, which is a nonsense as they have lost their manager AND key players (looks like sinclair wants out now too) we were never in the bottom 3 last season so it'll be interesting to see how we react if we do get down there
they might struggle for goals, but i think they will be ok and have some decent attacking youngsters coming through like Frei and Kalacnic. I think they are more worried about Dembele leaving than dempsey, he is quality. is dempsey definitely out of the squad?
as mentioned above, fulham's issue will be scoring goals but some of their youngsters are terrific. but with no dempsey they will certainly be bottom half and could be close to the drop zone.
