For me it will be, and by the way i cant wait. Marshall Taylor turner hudson Mcnuggs Whittingham Mutch Gunnarson Cowie Bellers Helguson. I hate playing against promoted sides early in the season, aka Brighton last year. However this year has a different feel to it, we only lost a handful of games last year and on paper we look stronger this year and more Physical which was missing last year, ie, against WHU it was men against boys. Come on you ReddyBluebirrrrds
I have a suspicion that he will play Conway ahead of Cowie... Both lack the pace regardless. The midfield trio of Mutch, Gunn and Whitts were really impressive against Toon. Easily over ran there centers.
I'd probably replace Cowie with Mason, otherwise I'll be happy to see that side start. If Mason doesn't start he'll be a great impact sub with his constant movement against tiring defenders.
Good line-up Ronny, though I agree with Stevo about getting Mason in there from the get-go. Time for him to get more game-time I reckon. Plus he's one of my predicted scorers.
That's OK korean, he'll score from the bench. I originally thought of playing him on the right but think he may do more damage from the bench. The way they've set up pre-season, we may even see Ralls starting in a wider role. Nice to have options. One thing is for certain, whoever starts will give their all and will work for each other. If the starting line up isn't firing on all cylinders there will be options from the bench. Looking forward to tonight!
Looks like the ticket sales are going well for tonights game, i reckon we will start with a 23,000+ crowd, Come on down and fill the place up.
I think Conway ahead of Cowie but Mason is a good option if he wants more pace and a more fluid formation. Huddersfield have a good squad and will be far from a pushover. As we saw in the Carling Cup last year we will need to keep a very close eye on Rhodes. They haven't lost their opening game for 6 years and scored more away than at home last season.
Blue 16,000 ... Red 7,000 .... Cardiff fans 23,000 . Looks like quite the line up . A general good luck as I won't be on your board much , hope were there when your elevator door opens Lol !
Come across with sensible comments (or hunerous ones like this) whenever you want Cracker. as you say, hope you are there to greet us.
Hope young Mason doesn't get side-lined this season because of our new options up front. He was mega last year and deserves serious consideration in a front 3 - a sort of 2+1 set up if you like If Malky goes for an all out 4-3-3 system, particularly at home, he should be an auto starter with Bellers and either Heidi or Veronica. We've enough quality midfielders to fill that middle 3 twice over. Whitts, Gunnar, Mutchie, Cowie, Kiss, and Ralls is a wonderful problem to have. Add in the pace of Kim and young Harris, as options, and I haven't considered Conway yet! We over achieved first half of last season only to go flat after Christmas. With this current squad (and more to come?), the problem seems to be we can only under-achieve. Go for it from day one and let the rest worry about us.
We've got an interloper on our boards talking sense. Where's the mods when you need one!!!! Tried to PM you the other night but your inbox was full!
I think it will be Ronnys team. I would prefer Mason to Cowie though. Judging by the weather forget red or blue its going to be waterproofs. Id be suprised if theres 21000 with this weather and the match live on TV.
Bellamys return will increase attendance. If its anything like the Doncaster gme, we're in for a treat.
Conway or Mason for Cowie. Cowie to be a regular bench warmer as he adds nothing to the team, is not a winger and we need pace and an end product. Same starting X1 otherwise from last friday. Need a striker to partner Helgusson. Brighton will be a handful, and were unlucky not to get anything at Hull. The whole season will be the same - not much to show between most of the teams. Cannot se any team running away with it this time.
