...really? http://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/article/songsheet-160812-315627.aspx please log in to view this image Preparing for the sudden rise in attendance's and woodwork fans? Couldn't resist. DTLW
That is hilarious! They even say the tune of the chant. Oh dear. ...and the last chant is just so ironic.
Looks like it's aimed at children. There's no point saying the song it's done in the tune of, the only one they may have heard of is Paparazzi!
LOL they really are the wettest, most plastic 'fans' around!! I really hope they come 20th, convincingly.
Isn't there a list of Chants on the Barmy Army website as well? To be fair, the uber long one you kinda need to know the words in advance to be able to join in with it.
I am going to Brazil in a few weeks time! I hope to see Botafogo whilst in Rio. Then I'll come back and go to the Kingsland one week and teach them new chants (in Portuguese of course) and then go to Fratton the next with a new range of songs. To my mind both sets of supporters have a very limited range and could do with devising a new and original set. The worst chant being the generic "Stand up if your one nil up" just really sucks. Pompey fans have three basic chants, 50% of Saints chants last season was directed at Pompey. I hope that changes this season.
E ninguém cala esse nosso amor E é por isso que eu canto assim, é por ti Fogo Fogooo! Fogooo! I like Cruzeiro however!
Excellent!! Now teach that the regulars at the Fratton End!! If you lot start singing songs like that I'd be tempted to attend the Park again. PS: River Plate fans sing a song that goes on for ages.
We have no idea what passion is, compared to some Brazilian and I daresay, all South American fans. It's commonplace for them to wear their club shirt each and every day, wash it out at night ready for the next day! In BH, lots of Atlético Mineiro fans (ptooii!) have brown and white striped shirts, instead of black and white stripes. They have washed them so many times the dye has run!
You are a bit of a traveller then, Meowth? I'm really looking forward to the experience. I went along to my GP today to complete a set of injections for the trip as I am flying into Brasilia first which is in the "zone" where one could contract a nasty mosquito bite. Rio by comparison is outside this zone! Have you been to Rio and have you got any advice?
Are you going up North? I wouldn't have bothered with the injections unless you are going to the Amazon, Manaus excepted. Brasilia should be fine. I have indeed been to Rio. Sugar Loaf, Christ the Redeemer and any of the beaches are a must for visits. The worst crime you would come across, and it's unlikely, is pickpocketing. The tourist areas are safe as houses and even some of the older, established Favelas can be visited during daylight hours. Have a blast!
The very lovely Mrs Godder's Saint shirt with "I love Morgan" on the bag is an off white and light pink. She has worn it almost every day since she heard him on the radio. I told her to get a new one but she said she will wait until next season when we have a proper shirt again.
Thanks Meowth! I'm only there for two weeks! I'm in Brasilia meeting a girl I met in Argentina five years ago. Amazingly we have remained in touch ever since. She then goes to Buenos Aires whilst I go to Rio for 4 or 5 days before I return to Brasilia. I better not mention the success of the Mexican football team in winning gold. LOL!! I'll definitely give you feedback on my return.
That is truly embarrassing. You're only here for the Kebe? Oh dear. Nanannananananananananannaaanaaa **** off.
Come on Jake! It might be a pathetic chant but so it your response! Work on your wit! I know you read Godders's feeds, perhaps you could develop the aart of a smarter reply just like the aforementioned Godders and Channonfodder to highlight two regulars who are excellent with their razor sharp humour.
I think the chants that are most remembered, are the quirky ones. Feed the goat and he will score. One that Pompey fans sang about Terry Fenwick was very rude, but it had perfect rhythm and rhyme.
