As the season approaches, who do you think will win the Golden Boot this year?

Am not sure but looking at odds ladbrokes giving think I may have a cheeky tenner on our 3 strikers.

    Lambert 80/1
    Sharp 150/1
    Jay rod 150/1

Now I don't for a second think they'll come 1st it's the each way terms that I like.
1st 4 pays 1/4 the odds so basically 20/1 on Lambert to finish in top 4 is excellent plus more for sharp an jay rod!

And for those who think it can't happen yakubu did it for Blackburn and he didn't take free kicks and pens!

Tevez. He has lost a lot of weight and seems to be up for it this season. I think he could reach over 30.

    Lambert.

Being serious now,I think it will be Torres first, then Tevez, then Rooney and Aguero.

Yak last year was 4th with 17 goals. Lambert is great odds considering he should get at least 5 pens

Tevez is a good shout. Rooney will be right up there as well, I'm sure.

Don't laugh. Torres. I think Tevez and Aguero will take away each other's goals, likewise Rooney and RVP. Torres won the Euro Golden Boot and the only other striker starting will be Sturridge who will be on the wing and I doubt he would affect Torres' game too much. Also, I think Papa Cisse will do good but not brilliant.

Torres is too isolated up front to score more than 20 goals.

But I think he'll be the target man who gets plenty of service. And he's found his form back by the looks of things and could be underestimated at the start of the season.

Playing alongside Sturridge, Hazard, Mata and Lampard, I don't think he will be.

Do you not understand the term "isolated"? It's not about personnel, it's about the distance between Torres and the midfield. Chelsea, with Di Matteo in charge, play like England did in the euros, not enough as a unit when attacking.

Erm, yes, I think I know what "isolated" means. Chelsea play with three players playing just off the striker, ahead of two deeper midfielders, like so:

    -----------Torres------------
    Mata-------Hazard------Sturridge
    ------Lampard---Ramires-------

I'd say that's more than enough support. If you think Chelsea play one "isolated" striker, then I'm guessing the only game of theirs you've watched was against Barcelona. They don't play that defensive all the time.

I have two dream teams. One has Rooney, Aguero and Tevez up front, the other has Rooney Aguero and Torres. If one of those four aren't the top scorer I'll be gutted.

    It´s more like this:

    -----------Torres------------

    Mata-------Hazard------Sturridge
    ------Lampard---Ramires-------

Di Matteo (not just against Barcelona) never likes to commit too much when attacking and likes to get every man, bar Torres, behind the ball when defending. This means that when they attack the distance between Torres and the midfield is big and ,only when the midfield get hold of the ball and possession, are they able to support him. However, Di Matteo doesn´t mind letting the other teams control the game, as his style is to play counter attacking football and hitting teams on the break.

Sergio Aguero. Has had that one season to adjust to a new league and country, now he will be going to the next level.
