Superswan the Scottish and N Ireland players were not prevented from playing by the federations, there was players from them in the final 32 but we're not picked. Like the players from Wales there was nothing they could do to prevent these players putting their names forward, the sad part for the other Celtic nations is that their players were not picked.

After a fairly successful Team GB campaign the only real increase of risk now of it happening and us losing our independence as a footballing nation is if we keep churning out the absolute shambles that was on show tonight!!! To think I was feeling optimistic about this qualifying campaign...oh well!!

wales were dreadful and we were at home and we fielded what is suppose to be a decent team couple that with playing a team from a smaller country then we were shocking, Team GB will be done differently in rio as the team must include 3-4 payers from all the home countries, they wont include any big names that will be required for the home nations at any cost. the one thing it does is give all us brits who love football a team to support at the olympics.....

Isn't the truth of the matter the Welsh FA feared not the loss of our independent footballing side but our seat on the IFAB, the body that regulates the Laws of the game, this Board is made up of the four Home Nations plus a FIFA delegate and it is our representation on this Board that irks FIFA and some other countries. What gives us this right, to hold this power in a democratic age? Very few of us have respect for the Welsh FA and believe they are not up to the task of running the game in Wales, yet we are happy for them to sit on this Board with the other Home Nations, there's a "Team GB" right there.

Still looking forward to Wales' qualifying campaign Mabon? <laugh>

Yet another example of why we'll never win anything until big changes are made. Independence as a footballing nation has proved an abject failure.
