Marshall was top of Barmby's target list in January, if our owner had backed our last manager he might well have made the difference during our injury crisis in March. Charlie has always said Marshall is a good player. To say he is Prem class is a different thing though. Yes, he'd walk into the Hull side. Would he walk into Newcastle's or Villa's? But I haven't read a comment from anyone yet saying he is currently Prem class. Apart from those made after Charlie's claim, obviously.
Marshall has Premier League potential- we all know that stand-out players at this level will not necessarily cut it in the league above- look at Adel Taarabt at QPR for example. At the rate he's improving though Marshall could easily make the step up, and don't think an England U21 call-up would be a bad call in my opinion...
