I'm not generally a fan of rap but Eminem's done some good songs, he's pretty good at sampling a song effectively.

I thought that first song they did was funny for a bit. Have you heard "Screwing You on the Beach at Night" by Bloodhound Gang though? One of the funniest songs ever.

Yeah that's good, but I like The Bad Touch best. Now that is a classic.

How can Dre be a great rapper when he had the likes of Ice Cube, DOC, Eminem, Jay-Z and a tonne of other rappers all writing his verses for him?

Sure does make a good beat though, even if some say there are some question marks over whether he does produce all of the stuff he puts his name to.

Pretty sure Eazy-E had Ice Cube writing for him too.

According to sources on the internet,Dr Dre wrote pretty much all of his verses on his album the Chronic 2001,he has done singles with Eminem and a host of other artists, but I'm pretty sure he wrote his own lyrics in those respective songs as well.

He does make a fantastic beat though.

Haven't got it to hand but I'm pretty sure Dre gave writer credits in the sleeve of that album. Still DRE is widely known to have been written by Jay-Z, seriously everyone knew this I thought. Dre much like Diddy just likes getting in the limelight from time to time, even if they could rap well they're time poor so it makes more sense to get other people to do time consuming bit and they just record it in their own voice.

Producer? He's good, depending if you like the whole West Coast funk synth beats. DJ Premier, Large Professor, Pete Rock, RZA, Eric B, Alchemist, Salaam Remi and Havoc off the top of my head are all better hip hop producers.

Best Rapper? Not even on the radar, top 30 maybe, it's well known that he uses ghost writers for the majority of his songs, and he just doesn't have a very good flow, technique or delivery in his raps. The Chronic was a good album though.
