    It was always likely really.

I read a while ago that Bolton said if he wasn't able to play, they had a job for him at the club, so hopefully he can continue to be involved in the game.

Lucky to survive what he's been through, personally I would be very worried about continuing a sporting career after something like that, I wish him well whatever he decides to do.

Shame that his career should end this way, but he is still here with his family.
I am sure that his club will see him right. I think it will be important for him to keep busy and involved in the sport, that way he will hopefully focus on his blessings and not on what he may have lost.

    Here's. Wishing him well

Lets face it, you lads with wives and girlfriends would get murdered by your spouses for going back to a job that gave you a heart attack that you almost died from.

Wish the lad all the best, if we are honest most of us thought this would be the final outcome..

Sad news but I'm sure he will be involved in a coaching possibly as an ambassador for the club or in the media but best of luck to him which ever path he decides to walk (btw gave it 5* for the comments not the topic)

I wish the lad nothing but the best.
The insurance should set him up for life which is a good thing as he is a thoroughly nice fella.

Sad news, but after what happened the main thing is he's still alive.

Was going to say "THIS!" to one of the above posts, then realised I'd have to do the same to virtually all of them.

Such a shame for him, but in other ways he's been lucky. Hopefully he can keep in the game in another capacity - and stay healthy. I wish him all the very best.

It's a sensible decision. I hope he is kept busy and doesn't get brought down by the thought of 'what if..'

Involvement in football in some position would be great as he's clearly a very spirited young man. Here's to a future many doubted he'd have. <ok>
