Agreed, we've got the Bolton game a few days after the 2nd Round, so I'd say give us the lowest ranked team possible away from home and let the players that aren't in the first team try and stake a claim for a place.

Walsall away, Leicester away, Northampton away, because they're the games I can get to the easiest. My best mate from uni is a Walsall fan and he never forgave me for Barmby's record breaking goal ("I never thought that kick off would ever work..."). Apparently he was still munching a pie and looking at the program while the goal went in.

Fairly certain I read somewhere that it's still seeded in which case we are just about in the better side of the draw.

You're right. According to the Carlisle website these are the unseeded teams, and therefore the teams we could be playing:

    Peterborough United - 18th Champ
    Nottingham Forest - 19th Champ
    Barnsley - 21st Champ
    Coventry City - 23rd Champ
    Doncaster Rovers - 24th Champ

    Sheffield Wednesday - 2nd L1
    MK Dons - 5th L1
    Stevenage - 6th L1
    Carlisle United - 8th L1
    Tranmere Rovers - 12th L1

    Preston North End - 15th L1
    Yeovil Town - 17th L1
    Scunthorpe United - 18th L1
    Walsall - 19th L1
    Leyton Orient - 20th L1

    Swindon Town - 1st L2
    Crawley Town - 3rd L2
    Crewe Alexandra - 7th L2
    Gillingham - 8th L2
    Oxford United - 9th L2

    Morecambe - 15th L2
    Burton Albion - 17th L2
    Bradford City - 18th L2
    Northampton Town - 20th L2
    Plymouth Argyle - 21st L2

I would like it to be a ground we haven't played at, and preferably not to far. Stevenage would be the best.

From that list Bradford, it's local and we can bung in a few of the kids(though Bruce has said he'll always play his best available team).

I hope we put out a full strength team and go on a cup run to put some money in the coffers.

Bradford at home or away, nice local game. Might be a 'Mickey Mouse' cup, but i'd love us to have a serious cup run sometime soon.
