The French record of winning? Yeah, they won a world cup, and a euro, maybe you can tell all of us about the record of the English when it comes to wining things? Or maybe you can shut the **** up and keep your bigoted border racist stereotype comments about the French to yourself.

And you do know you're commenting on a board that idolised a French player, Cantana, one of the legendry figures of Manunited.

Ummm, mate, RvP is world class, he was our only world class player last season (arguably). He might not play as well at utd, but he'd still be freaking deadly.

I was really referring to world wars .. They don't like winning the French..

As to Eric he was just special..

You're deflecting from the point I made though and responding to my insulting on the French..

You are actually ******ed. And incapable of producing a reasoned argument. I thought you were going to come out with some vaguely valid point such as 'SAF paid big transfer fees for players until the Glazers arrived' (true, but doesn't really compare to the way Real Madrid, Chelsea, and City have been throwing money around - but that's another argument all together). But no, you instead came out with a large amount of crap.

How exactly can a team contribute to the crazy transfer market by selling players?! Teams generally don't want to sell their best players and demand high fees to try and ward off potential suitors (such as Hulk's astronomical release fee). If any team is actually stupid enough to make that offer (I say stupid because no football player should be worth £80 million) then it is them who are turning the transfer market into a farce. No club would turn down that sort of money (Milan accepted City's offer of £100 million for Kaka, the transfer didn't happen because Kaka refused to move).

Furthermore, why should the position a player plays in determine his fee. A good defender is just as important in order to win a game as a good striker, midfielder, and goalkeeper. Lazio sold Nesta to Milan for about €31 million. The top defenders cost money. Similarly, Buffon cost £32 million. Position doesn't dictate transfer fee, the value of the player to the team (both his current team and the bidding team) does.

Also, do you even know anything about Kagawa?! He was rated as one of the top attacking midfielders in Europe during the 10/11 season despite missing the second half of the season through injury and was again one of Dortmund's best players last season. He also won back-to-back league titles, something Hazard, Modric, Cazorla, or Sneijder didn't manage to do (that's not to say he's a better player than them, but I'll come on to that soon). United wanted him last season, but Dortmund were unwilling to sell. He was only sold this season because he was entering the last year of his contract and wasn't willing to sign a new contract. Arsenal also bid for him, but he only wanted to come to United.

Kagawa is better than Cazorla so I'm excluding him from my discussion. He has more experience than Hazard, is younger than Sneijder, and scores more goals than Modric. At £12 million, he is also significantly cheaper. Obviously those three players have aspects to their game that make them better than Kagawa and I would have loved to have any of them at United as well (not instead of). In terms of value for money, I think Kagawa is the best option.

Also, how exactly is our team so poor if we only lost the league on goal difference?! City are a good team, yes, but they won the exact same number of points as us. The gulf isn't actually as great as everybody's (mainly the press are trying to make out) And they've only signed one player so far (who, judging by Mancini's comments, will only be playing for the reserves and in the Carling Cup). Yes, Chelsea have strengthened and spent a lot of money, but they've signed three players who play in two positions (one of which is already occupied by Mata). They've also lost their most influential player in Drogba (although Torres appears to be getting his form back). Arsenal have added two impressive strikers but you might lose your captain and your defence is still pis poor. Spurs can be relied upon to derail their own title challenge and Newcastle haven't really signed anyone. As always 'this will be the year that Liverpool win the league' :)emoticon-0102-bigsm).

In summary, I don't think our transfer activity is that different to our immediate rivals'. I also don't think we need RVP, especially if he's going to cost more than £15 million. He's old, injury prone, and in the last year of his contract so shouldn't cost that much. His arrival would also be detrimental to Wellbeck's and Hernandez's development. I feel that what we need is a combative box-to-box player similar to Yaya Toure. I feel he's been the big difference whenever we've played City. Fellani or M'Vila would do nicely. I also think we should move on Anderson and Berbatov. If we really need a striker, Lewandowski would be my preferred option.

I just said that. He'll still be deadly though, there are some things a system can't make, and that is a deadly left foot, and masterful positioning. He'll have those abilities wherever he plays.

Fabregas. Even the likes of Vieira, Fellani, and Henry won more than they would have if they'd stayed.

you say i'm deflecting the points when you're talking about the french and their records at war? last I checked, wars didn't begin in the 19th century, and the French have a history of kicking English ass, for example, the French played a big role in helping the American colonies defeat the English and become a new independant country.

as for Cantana, the French have a long line of top quality players, Zidane (has a record of bum spanking english teams), Henry, and the list goes on.

he will always be deadly and dangerous, but that doesn't equal to being the top scorer and scoring 30 plus goals.

I'm not gay, but I am ass annihalting you. two different things. the Q is, are you gay, by trying to infer I'm being gay by using the word butt a lot, did I awaken a hidden urge in you?

You're in luck if you are, as Drogs is a Chelsea boy, and they like sticking phones in their ass, like Cashley Cole, so if you're into that, which I suspect you are, then contact him in PM and arrange something. ;-).

You can be his naughty Manc whom he catches and teaches a lesson to, ;-).
