If he goes to Liverpool then as much as I love him now I'll have a definite dislike for him, however if he goes to a team like Milan then I could understand that and would be fine with it. As AB says, Que sera sera.

I think we have to remember English isnt his first language. He said if I have to go I'll go, If I have to stay I'll stay.

I dont think he is saying the word 'have' in the way we would say it.

Although I'm kind of resigned to the fact that he is off

 

If he goes to Milan or even Barca(unlikely) then I'll be really happy for him but if he goes to Liverpool.. that wouldn't be nice.

 

This summer is going to be horrible.

 

I'm rarely pessimistic (or at least any more pessimistic than any other fan) but I'm inclined to agree with you...At least Tiote signed a huge contract...

I wish he would just say if he's staying or ****ing off so we could start thinking about who we should get in to replace him.

 

He's got one more year on his contract, and if he's denied a transfer request, he'll have to stay on one more year. That's what he means by "if i have to stay".

If he's accepted a transfer request he'll go.

I dont think we can get much from this, he said "if I have to go" as well as "if I have to stay" so I'm putting it down to bad English. Also after the club made him keep quiet about it for so long they wouldnt let him go on live TV and tell people would he?

Anyway, let's not sour Coloccini day with such stories.

I think with no actual interview to watch we wont get a clear idea of how he says what he's said. I'm reserving judgement until I watch this interview.

 

I would sell him we need people who want to be here and are willing to fight for the cause not players who see Newcastle as a 'last resort' type of thing

 

I'm just going to wait till the end of the season and see what happens

2nd watch of it and I'm still pretty sure he's away like!

 

I'm not sure, I think he does at very least want to see his contract out and said he's very happy so I wont make further comment until we're safe and what becomes of his contract talks.

 

I'm not so sure either. His English clearly isnt the best but I don't think he meant it like "ugh, if I have to stay I will"
Maybe something was lost in translation.
Still think he'll leave though :\

 

It doesnt really say anything really. Hes sitting on the fence as far as i can see.

This doesnt change anything. If i were him i would be waiting and seeing what happens in the close season. If we go out and invest and move the club forward then i would want to stay. If we start selling our best players then i would want to go.

The balls in his court and hes not going to commit to anything until he sees what goes on.

Fair enough imo. The lad wants to play for his country, he is not bound by local roots and wants to step it up.

 

He said he is happy to be anywhere!! There is no sign he is leaving, likewise any sign he is staying. If Barca, Real or Man U come in for him then safe to say he will go. Other than that, Liverpool won't sign him

 

It doesn't sound like he's too bothered whether he stays or goes, it sounds like it's not his decision. It would be nice to hear him say that he wants to stay though.
