Errr, I hope you don't think about Toon team formations while in the shower in quite the same way as Tash thinks about Toon team formations while in the shower!!

"Todays forecast includes a severe weather warning featuring flooding and jizzards - yes that's a blizzard only ..."

Kaboul has looked solid whenever I've seen him - and versatile too. Wasn't he originally a midfielder? Have seen him play there, full-back and centre-back.

Yeah has been used at full back and been tried in midfield but looks rather lost there, i remember when we first signed him, looked rough round the edges and he got sold to pompey but then we signed him back and he was twice the player.

Spurs have always seemed to have a strangely high number of good quality centre halves for the past 3 or 4 seasons, but they always seem to have two injured at once. I understand Galas is free to leave now though and they've lost King, but still Dawson, Vertonghen, Kaboul and Bassong is pretty good.

I'm shocked they are yet to sign a striker as they must be sitting on quite a bit of cash and it's been a priority for a while for them. I felt sorry for what happened to AVB at Chelsea he was on a hiding to nothing there, but I can imagine he'll have an even harder job at Spurs this season.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they lose Modric to Madrid on deadline day and they fail to bring in a top drawer striker and that costs them dearly. As for giving Jenas a chance seriously?! Is AVB on glue?!

He's either on glue or Jenas has got his finger out and decided to do a bit of work at last instead of just posing.

my best toon shower was newcastle v villa the 6-0. had talksport commentary on. Stan Collymore- "3-0 is a dangerous scoreline, teams can get complacent, I think Villa are still in this."

ha ha don't forget jenas won PFA Young Player of the Year while at the toon!........he is the type of player that will impress any new manager, as he is a great athlete, and can look like a top player in pre season but as soon as he gets a run in the team, all he does is vanish unless we're playing west brom and are 3-0 up!

personally i've never rated him but can see why he gets chances.

The problem with him for me was winning that award was the worst thing that could have happened. He started to get complacent and instead of knuckling down and trying to improve his game and working hard he started to believe the hype then demanded the move.

He could've been a fantastic player and an England regular for years and years, but he only puts the effort in when he wants. It's positive to hear that he's trying at the minute but as you say he'll vanish once he gets a run in the team and the novelty of a new manager wears off. Nailed on to be back on the loan market either in the next few months to somewhere like Forest in the Championship or in January to another Premiership club

Yeah he seems to like to disappear, hence citing his reason for leaving NUFC as like living "in a goldfish bowl". Although how somebody can say that and then transfer to London ...

He could have been a brilliant player and would probably have benefited from staying around players like Shearer a bit longer. But like so many, the lure of London was too much and they join a long list of 'nearly men' who slowly disappear into obscurity. If he makes a comeback, then good luck to him. But agree he's more likely to draft out again.

One thing about Jenas that surprised me was that he is rather Articulate!..........no offence to anyone from Nottingham as its mainly due to the fact most footballers are simpletons!

Ha... was that for his scrabble ability on the team bus? ..knowing Jenas he must have thought it was for his football ability!

Wow I was at that Switzerland game at Wembley. Looking back I can say it truly was the dawn of what was a shocking England era. That World cup in South Africa was terrible
