Ok, the season is nearly upon us and the Premier League have announced the match officials for Saturday's game at Loftus Road against QPR. The referee is Lee Probert and I thought it would make a nice change if we could talk about events on rather than off the field. So, thought's please, good bad or indiffferent ? Personally I'm quite happy, he's not a card happy ref and was fourth official at Wembley against reading so could be a lucky charm. http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/news/news/match-officials-appointments-august-18-22.html
Depends how they've been dictated to ref the games this season. Hopefully more punishment for backchat and diving
The way QPR play, Dill, perhaps we do want a card happy referee. They have a habit of getting stuck in and Hughes always asks that of his players. We, generally, do not concede as many free kicks as other teams so a card happy ref should help keep the other lot in check - providing we don't do anything daft of course.
Very happy to be playing QPR right out of the gate as I believe they will grow into a top ten team by seasons end . Would play Agustien & Michu with Britton for this one .
Apparently we've had Lee Probert the last three times we've played QPR and he's does tend to be a homer ref so not expecting any help from him if Hughes's side use their usual robust style.
Personally I don't take any notice of who the match officials are. They all do the job in an even-handed, unbiased manner to the best of their ability. (Allegedly).
