Good point mate! I just can't stand the tool and I don't think he's good enough to bother with.

I've said on the previous daily Joey threads he could be very useful for us. A tightened renewed contract knowing he can't step out of line and back with fresh legs as we approach the busy festive period. He could be just the lift we need at that time.

I know what you mean. I'd like to think the 12 match ban, not being part of the Asia or Germany trips, being stripped of the captaincy and training with Fleetwood would be something of a humbling experience for him and really make him knuckle down. However I just think his ego so indestructible we probably wont ever see the kind of performances we want from him, at least not consistently. I'm no big fan of his personally but I thought he would offer a lot more than he has.

The biggest shame for me was that in the few games before his City meltdown he'd actually started looking like he meant it. Being subbed against Liverpool and dropped for Sunderland (although i wasn't sure about that decision at the time) seemed to give him a bit of a kick up the backside, there were even threads on here stating that he was now a Ranger (after the Swansea game at LR) if I remember correctly.

I can't see him playing for us again to be honest. Which is a bit of a shame, but at the end of the day, you reap what you sow.........

Yep...that's true. I'm pretty sure I said as much in my match reports. I guess I just let the fact that I can't stand the twat get in the way!!

So you ****ing hate Norwich and you ****ing hate Joey; get them to sign him and they would cancel each other out, allowing your inner cuddly toy to stop shivering with fear and emerge blinking into the sunlight; can't see it myself though....

Heard on talk sport that Barton reckons he has a shock announcement to make shortly. Could he be sold?

Think we should hang on to JB and see what happens in first 12 games of season.
If the season doesn't start as positively as expected and we are in or around the relegation positions we maybe all welcoming JB back like the footballing prodigal son.

Football league are refusing to sanction any loan deal for joey Barton to a lower league club, stating it would effectively be bringing the game into disrepute........

Damage reminded me of a point my ref mate made - linos aren't meant to intervene on decisions that are on the other side of the pitch.

I do wonder how people deal in such absolutes? Why hate Barton - is it the red cards and the off the field incidents? If that is purely the reason for moral high ground then surely Cisse with the same number of reds and that cinema incident (in half the time with us) should be castigated in a similar fashion.

No? Because he scores goals? So basically the morality can be bought with performances. In which case just say he's not good enough and be done (and then admit he's more worthy than SWP to wear the shirt).

I hope he comes back and shows us all but shock news makes me think he'll either retire or leave the country (might be completely wrong since I'm basing it on what someone says Talk Sport are saying).

Personally, I think we may miss him come ACON time.

Matt, Im not being rightoues or anything, just want him gone asap...

    Because
I dont like him a sa person, on or off field..
I dont rate him as a player,
And did NOTHING positive for our club since he has been here.
Made QPR Captaincy (and our club) become a standing joke

He may have been a good player once, a long time ago, but he certainly aint now. I'd bet Derry had as many good games as JB last season.
I know who I'd prefer to be OUR CLUB CAPTAIN....

Thos who rate him are entitled to thier own opinions, I personally just cannot see anything positive that has come, or will come from having him at our club..?
    I stand to be corrected.

With ref to your post...yes Cisse get goals and delivers on the pitch every game...His goals get us points and we win games. Doesnt necc make him a better person, but certainly a more valued player than JB. And certainly one to hold on too...?

    But thats just my opinion....
