Even dreamier would be him putting in a written transfer request and stating publicly he'd be happy to play for 30k a week in order to simply play for Liverpool again! And then Torres doing the same, including an apology to the fan's for all the **** he spouted after he moved. Add another leftback and we would be top 4 easy and pushing for more...
His main reason for him going was that he wanted to raise his children in Spain so don't see him coming back. It would be great if he did but can't see it.
I'm never quite sure how much I ever believe this using family as an excuse nonsense... I've dragged my family all round the world with my job for a lot less than 100k a week!! Look at Tevez... Although it pains me to ever compare him to Xabi
Mmm: the money he makes means he doesn't have to. He's in the position to choose location with children the priority as opposed to earning money to feed said children. The fact that he still gets to the same job for shed loads of cash in a sunny place is a bonus lol As for having him back, a player of his ability would be great on the pitch & in training but it has a sense of nostalgia and looking back that I doubt BR wants to encourage when it's all now about new starts and moving forward.
You're probably right DF but you know we can be a nostalgic lot would you be happy if you woke up tomorrow to find he'd signed??? Obviously it aint happening but....I feel a quick rendition of "Imagine" coming on (<<<topical gag)...
One word, Pirlo. Probably one of the biggest reasons Juve won the league and his play has been excellent, a good 5 years older than Alonso as well and I thin physically Alonso is much better than Pirlo.
If we only could just imagine combining them with Reina, Agger, Gerrard and Suarez. Throw in Alonso again and I'd crawl to Anfield to see them play
